Back in Riverdale
Betty and Jughead were in the little spot that looked over all of Riverdale cuddled up together just happy to be with each other. Jughead was admiring the lights of Riverdale when he looked over to betty who was doing the same but in deep thought. He could tell when she was thinking about something because her face would scrunch up just a bit and she would bite her lip in a way that made her feel more than just happy.
"What you thinking about Betts?" he asked as jughead moved closer to her rapping he are around, pulling her closer to his side as she let out a small giggle.
"Oh,,, nothing important," Betty responded snugging into his chest.
"Everything about you is important. Now tell me."
" I was thinking about a dream I had a while back."
"What was it?" he asked wanting to know the joyful ideas that run through her head all the time.
"you see I used to have this dream of reviving the old drive-in on the south side of town."
"Why?" Jughead asked
"Well,, you see me and my family used to go to the drive-in every Saturday together. It was the best. My mom would make little plastic bags of popcorn covered in chocolate and stuff on top and they were delicious. And after my dad died we, stop going it didn't feel right anymore. Then shortly after they shut it down; when I went there it was terrible there was trash and graffiti everywhere and I hated it. When I saw the drive like that it was like a piece of my dad was being ripped away from me, falling from my mind into the ground and just going down until it hit the hot lave of earth and melted away." Betty explained with a few slight tear welling up in her eyes.
"Wow, Betty I'm sorry that sounds awful. Are you ok?"
" yeah,, I have come to piece with it so it's fine."
Present-day
Jughead Veronica and Toni were all in veronica's small apartment working on their plan to help Betty and Jughead's relationship. They had finally got the plan all worked out after a long few hours of planning and setting things up. Jughead didn't want to trick or force betty into anything he wanted it to be up to her if she wanted to trust and be with him or if she didn't; she had the free will to do so. So for their plan to even start it all depended on what Betty wanted the first veronica made her way over to Betty's apartment she had used her spare key to Bettys car that she had stolen early on and set her GPS to head to the special place that they had been set up for later. Now it was time for the hard part getting betty to show up; Veronica had taken her time to get up the stories she was dreading doing this. By going up there and trying to converse with her the idea of going to see her ex that had from what she knew cheated on her shamelessly and tried to lie and say he didn't. But that wasn't what she was afraid of how betty would react to the fact that she had been in kahotas with Jughead she knew that she would be pissed and she didn't want to lose her best friend over this, she just hoped that she wouldn't be too mad at her. When Veronica finally had got into Bettys apartment she was sad to find her best friend crying while her face was covered in chocolate with she assumed that it was from the empty tub of double chocolate chunk ice cream that sat toppled over on the table as she watched titanic for the tenth time this week.
"Betty?" the blonde beauty looked up at her best friend and Veronica swore that she was getting worse every day. She still was showering every day and eating well along with a good amount of added junk food, but you could tell that she was still in a lot of pain and just wanted to give up but had too much pride to admit it. So as soon as she realized that the Raved hair girl was there in the same room while she was at a pretty low point she admittedly started to wipe off her tears and comb through her hair.
"V-Veronica what are you doing here I thought you had argents to run." betty asked getting up and headed towards the kitchen wetting a paper towel and wiping her face off so she would be chocolate free.
" ahh yeah I did but I'm did now and I have to talk to you about something." veronica announced with a wary voice eyeing done the floor trying to find a way to start as she moved the empty chip and candy rappers out the way so she could have a place to sit as betty just carefully sat done on top of them.
"Ok V what is it that you need to talk to me about." veronica took a deep breath looking into Bettys deep green eyes and deciding it would be better to just rip the dame bandage instead of trying to make it sweet.
"Betty is going to be state ford with you and say that I have been talking to jughead and-"
"WAIT WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TALKING TO WHO."
" Jughead and betty I have to tell you that he didn't cheat on you."
"I can't believe this. You're supposed to be my best friend and you going behind my back to meet up with him. What kind of friend are you, I mean if you think this is the type of thing you do to a friend then I must have some terrible judgment when it comes to who I trust?"
"What, no B listen to me I love you I would never do anything to purposely hurt you. I mean just think about it, you know how much jughead lovers his surprises and this is just one of them. He couldn't tell you right away because it was too important to him that it stayed a secret until it was ready." Veronica took a deep breath grabbing Bettys hand and hoping that she didn't pull it away with to Veronica's luck she didn't.
"Betty I want you to know that this is all up to you we will start packing up the area by 8:30 If you don't show up I guess that Jughead has his answer. But Betty that is not the point thought; if you do decide to come don't do it for me or Jughead do it for you. You love him, i know it, you know, God everyone knows it and this could be the on chance you have to save you two so please i beg you take it."
And with that veronica got up and headed out the door to her destination. Betty sat there the Tv was paused and no one else was around so it was silent no sound not even a pepe. She was frozen she didn't know what to believe. On one hand she did love jughead; she needed and wanted him in her life. She hadn't felt this much pain in her heart since her dad died and she hated the feeling it left. She had to go through 5 years of therapy because of it and she didn't want to do it again It was bad the first time will be no different the second. She also knew that jughead loved her just ass much as she did him, but her question is "was it all real or fake?"
So after a long two hours of her thinking and think she finally decided that she was going to just go find out for herself get the answer that she wanted. But when she looked up it was already 8:40. Betty addedly started to panic and quickly grabbed her keys and ran out the door and down the stairs to her car at light speed. But when she got in her car it wouldn't start no matter how many times she twisted the key nothing would happen.
"No, no, NO!" tears started to stream done her eyes as she realized that there was no time left for her to fix the car so she did the one other thing she could think of. Betty jumped out her car and started too run she ran as fast as she could for blocks and blocks, crossing streets almost getting hit by car three times. She Ran tough puddles causing her shoes to be wet along with the bottom of her pink bunny pjs and the matching robe. She just kept running until she was finally made it in fort of the big brown building out of breath at 8:55
