Chapter 5: The new teams

A little while later, commander Pyxis had gotten all the names, and  told us that we needed to see they're skill first. So they announced that they were going to do hand in hand combat. To be honest i was good in hand in hand combat, so i didn't worry at all. They did doubles and started, i saw Annie and Mikasa were put together, i wanted to see that to be honest. So i walked over to them and watched. Mikasa was really good but Annie was better. At some point, Annie was on top of Mikasa, twisting her hand, making her tap out. I congardulated them and then said "Annie? Do you mind is i have a round?" she was weirded out by my question but agreed.

She and I got into a starting pose and i noticed something familiar about her stance. Everyone was watching us so i didn't say anything. I did the same i did to the female titan, i waited for her to come at me and i then grabbed her one leg and one hand, and whacked her on the ground. She then got up and did the same double kick the female titan did. 'Could she be~? No, she wouldn't do that.'

I was on the ground now and she was walking slowly toward me. She gave me her hand to help me get up 'oh so she thought it was over?' i grabbed her hand, making her think that i gave up. No i didn't, i grabbed her hand and twisted it, making her turn around, me facing her back. So i grabbed her other hand, put me feet on her hips and pulled her hands and pushed my feet making her groan in pain. Until she tapped out. I got and told her i was sorry and she said that everything was ok. "I know what you are." i said whispering in her ear. She was disturbed and terrified but i just walked away and got back up on the stage.

'The fact that Annie got scared when I said that, meant that my theory had just became a fact. Annie is no the person who gets scared, especially from words.
Did that mean Annie was the female titan?'

I didn't tell anyone because I don't like accusing people with no evidence. The rest of the day Annie, Reiner and Bertolt kept eying me weirdly but I just ignored them.

~in the dining room~

I was sitting alone at a table when Annie walked over here and sat down. I was kinda afraid of her but I kept my cool. She sat down and said "What do you want?" all my worry went away and it was filled with questions "What do you mean?" i asked. "In exenge for your silence." she answered."About what?" I questioned still not understanding what she meant. "You are dumb, you know that right?" She scoffs "Thats what am told." I say sarcastically but also meaning it.

"God! Just forget it." She said while walking away and then she suddenly turned "How did you know?" She asked

"I had suspected from the start that there was something off about you, I just didn't know what. But I decided that I wasn't gonna tell anyone because if I was in your place I wouldn't want some one to tell that to anyone. But I must ask you. Why were you doing that? Turning against us?" I explained then later asked.

"I can't tell you much. Just that if I didn't, they would have killed me." She stated and I nodded in understanding, making her leave.

~later~

Commander Pyxis had put all the scouts in line, in front of us. And he said "Now its were you pick your teams. Choose wisely because this is the team that you will have for the following 3 years. Even if you lose half of your team, or all of your team you can not and will not get anymore scouts." He was saying that towards the captains not the scouts.

I personally work better with people that I know so I'm gonna choose only people that I know. I know I can't choose Annie, it will just mess things up more. Sooooo I don't really know.

"Captain Kiera would you like to go first?" He said. I nodded without thinking even though I haven't made up my mind up yet for who I'm gonna choose. "On my team for the following 3 years I would like to be" I said and paused. I took a deep breath and continued "Eren Jeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Ymir Fritz, Jean Kristein, Connie Springer, Sasha Braus and Krista Lenz."

"Well done, Kiera. Now the names that have been heard shall please follow Kiera to their dormitory" he announced. I got up and walked towards our dormitory and I saw all of them following me. Once we got their two of them, Jean and Connie, ran in to get the upper bunk bed first. The thought of Carla and Jay passed through my mind immediately, they were similar.

 I saw them slowly unpacking and choosing their bed, the girls had one side and boys the other. I didn't talk much and Eren noticed. 

He walked over to me and said "Hey sis." i didn't answer, i was completly zoned out "Hey! Are you ok?" he said once more. "Oh um what? Oh yeah im fine." i said and continued what i was doing. "Are you sure? You don't look ok." he insisted "No it's nothing don't worry, im just skeptical." i explained "About what?" he asked, again "Oh it's nothing im just in own little bubble." i lied. I was thinking about Annie, and how she was the female titan. After that he stayed silent. "So are you a titan shifter too?" i asked bluntly "Wha-? How did you know?" he whispered. He probably didn't know that i was the other titan. "Oh well Hanji told me
 and i am the other titan. I guess it runs in our blood." i said fake laughing "Wow that's amazing! Finally someone understands me!" he said exitedly. I giggled as a responce.

~later~

I was sitting on my bed until a blonde boy came up to me, it was Armin. "Hey Armin! What's up?" i said "The sky?" he replied confused. "You kno- nevermind." i huffed "Well anyway i just wanted to say to you congratulations on that titan attack. I think as a leader you handeled it amazingly!" he said "Thank you, Armin. That means alot. Oh and the fact that you knew that all we had to do was put our hoods up was a briliant idea." i replied back. "Oh you really think so?" he requested surprized "Yeah ofcourse!" i said. "Oh well thank you! By the way i heard of what happened in your past, if you ever need someone to talk to, im here." he whispered and just left.

~a little while later~

"I say that we play truth or dare!" Jean shouted out of nowhere "And why should we do that?" i asked. "So we could get to know each other better, no other reason, Captain." he bluntly replied. "Sure. I don't see why not." i said and they started cheering "Oh, when we are alone as a team you guys can call me Kiera. Call me captain only infront of the others." and they started cheering, again.

We all sat down and Jean started "Ok so Kiera. Truth or dare?" 

"Truth. I hate dares." i said "Um do you have any family outside the walls?" he asked, clearly not knowing what he was getting into. "Um no, all my family died, infront of me. And that's when i desided that i wanted to be a scout, i turned out to be a captian of 8 scouts, you." i explained as simply as i could. "Wait, what's your full name?" Connie asked "Kiera Jeager, Eren's sister" i said and i heard some whispers and some 'oooo' "Anyway, Connie truth or dare?" i said, avoiding all eye contacts.

"Dare obviously" he scoffed "Ok im not going easy" i warned them and his face went blank, he got scared. "I dare you to take off your shirt and run outside of Captain Levi's dormitory, pretending you are a monkey." i said "Oh god, ok." he huffed, honestly being scared, 5 minutes later the door opened. And we saw Connie scared and disapointed "So? What happened?" Sasha asked "Let's just say, tomorrow im on cleaning duty" he said and we all started laughing. I have never laughed more in my intire life listening to Connie explain what happened. I don't really laugh or smile so it was nice seing everyone laugh so i just went with it. "Life lesson kids, never play truth or dare with Kiera." ymir said looking at me and i was honestly surprised that she wasn't mad at me, so i gave her a slight nod as a thank you. The rest of the night we all slept like angels, specifically Armin and Krista. I smile to the thought that i was gonna stay with these amazing kids for 3 years. I have a difficulty sleeping, so i didn't sleep that much, but i had a smile on my face for the rest of the night...
