Chapter 6: First day as Captain

The next morning i woke up at 5:27 exactly, it was early because we are supposed to woke up at 7:30 usually. I didn't have anything to do, so i just had a shower, got ready and just went to my office. I was looking around and saw me old paper work, because i was bored i diseded to do them. After almost an hour i heard a knock on my office door. "State your name and business" i said not looking up, because thats what your supossed to say when your a captain, i guess.
Levi kicked the door opened without even answering and just stared at me, well not me, my chest i guess. I looked down and saw 2 buttons were unbuttoned so i quickly fixed them and said "Stop staring"

"Tch, i wasn't" he replied and i rolled my eyes "Anyway, what do you want?" i  asked, looking down at the paperwork "Did you tell Connie to do that?" he asked bluntly "Wha-? How did you kno-? Anyway yes, we were playing truth or dare and Connie said dare so yeah" i explained feeling sorta guilty. "Tch, brat." he said and walked out."What did you just call me!?" i shouted and i heard him say from far away "You heard me!" 

"Ugh unbelieveble." i whispered to myself and continued my work.

~in the dining room~

I got to the dining room earlier than every one else. I spoke to the chefs for a bit, and then Sasha walked in the dining area 'ofcourse she would come in here first' i thought. "Fancy seeing you here at this time i said." i sarcasticly said. She started stammering and getting worried and i said "Im kidding, don't worry." and i laughed. She giggled and gave a reasuring nod and left.

I was sitting down at the table with all my scouts, talking and eating, having fun basically. "So what are we gonna do today?" Armin asked. "I actually don't know." i replied and he said 'oh'. "What do you mean you don't know!?" Jean and Connie said together. "I mean they haven't given me orders yet, so i don't know." i explained, a little worried.

~later~

"CLEANING DAY!?" they all screamed at Levi, I covered my ears and giggled. "Did you not hear me, you assholes? Yes, cleaning day. Kiera you and I will do paper work. All. Day." He shouted at them and then explained to me "We are warriors! We shouldn't clean!" Jean winned at Levi "Warriors you say?" Levi questioned and scooped Jean with the broom that he was holding, making Jean fall on his butt ~ow~ Jean whispered. Everyone was holding in their laughter, trying to not make a sound. "Get to cleaning. I want this place spotless when I come back." Levi said and persuaded to walk to his office.

"Sorry guys but I have to run. I'll be back to help later." I said and walked to Commander Edwin's office. I knocked and he said "State your name and business"

"Umm Kiera and I think I have some paperwork?" I requested "Come in" he said with a steady voice. I came in kinda nervous, I didn't really know why and I just stood there. "Well there here, hehe" he said pointing at a pile of paper. "Why are you so nervous?" He asked "Oh I- um I don't know." I whispered, quickly grabbing the pile of paper stacked on the desk. He grabbed my hand and said "Don't be. It's all gonna be ok. I didn't make you captain for no reason." His grab softened and he was rubbing my hand with his thumb. I felt at peace, calm and serenity but I quickly snapped back to reality once Levi walked in. "Ehm I hope I'm not interrupting anything." With a kinda annoyed tone. "No its nothing I was leaving" I said and I ran out. "Tch"  I heard Levi say.

~later~

I was embarrassed! What was I doing? Was he flirting with me? Or was I? Ugh!

I was in my office doing paper work until Levi walked in and said "You flirting with the Commander now?"

"I- no it wasn't like that!" I huffed "Sure it wasn't." He said back "Oh just go bother someone else. Are you THAT bored?" I snapped back "No and good bye" he said and just left.

Later Eren just barged in "WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP BARGING IN?" I shouted, watching his face from a smile turn into a scared look. "WHAT?" I shouted again "I um im sorry I just wanted to see if you were ok with all the work you had." He apologised "Oh yeah right. I- sorry I am just not in the best mood. Um well its work so you know." I said laughing awkwardly. "Right well. I'll let you too it. See you later." He waved and left.

"Ughhh I'm so stupid!" I shouted out of frustration. "I have to agree with that. But don't worry I talked to Erwin and he cleared everything." Levi said standing in the corner of my office.

"You are truly unbelievable!" I whispered he chuckled and left.

~around dinner time~

"Heyyy are you comin-?" Sasha walked in on me still working. "Yeah I- um go without me." I said. "Oh ok" she said and hopped outside. I lied, I wasn't planning on eating. I mean I couldn't go without eating one meal, besides I wanted to finish this.

I checked the clock it was 2 am and I had just finished all my work. I got up from my chair and stretched. I walked through the halfway and it was so quiet, empty, silent. There was a window clashing with the wind. I looked out side and I saw the beautiful night sky. I hopped out of the window and climbed to the roof. I laid there the wind in my hair and on my face, just looking at the stars and the night sky.

I stayed there for an hour or something until it started to get a little cold. So I climbed back in and I tip toed to the dorm and to my bed. I laid down there and I fell fast asleep, with my clothes on.

~in the morning~

"Hey! Kiera! Wake up!" Armin shouted "What?What?What did I miss?" I started to wake. "Nothing silly, just your late, by half an hour. And you slept with your clothes on..." he said "Yeah it was late. Um go to eat i'll be there" I hummed "Okay!" He ran to the dining room.

I lied, again, I wasn't gonna eat. I needed to get ready.

~later~

I was ready. But I was tired, too tired. And hungry, too hungry. But I needed to get that out of the way because today Hanoi wanted to do some experiments on me and Eren. With me like this, this wasn't gonna go well. But let's give it a chance...
