The Boat Pt 8

writers note: everyone's probably gonna be out of character. dont remember where I left off but here we go.

Kim's POV

I heard a screech.

Then, I remembered that we were on a bus to a boat.

"Gah!" I shrieked when I realised my head was on Garroth's shoulder.

We arrived at the boat.

It was somewhat small, but very lovely.

Everyone got out of the bus.

"This place is nice," Lucinda commented.

We all nodded our heads in agreement.

Zianna told us that we were all sharing a room with someone else.

Her and Aph's mother in room 1.

Aphmau and Aaron in 2.

Laurence and Travis in 3.

Zane and KC in 4.

Lucinda alone in 5.

Katelyn and Nicole in 6.

Garroth and Dante in 7.

That meant...

"Kim and Ivy in room eight!"

I felt a chill down my spine.

It's not like she had done anything wrong.

I was just scared and I didnt know why.

"Alright everybody, go ahead and unpack!" She announced.

We all went to our rooms, either silently chatting or quietly walking.

My room was all the way at the back, so it was just Ivy and I walking there.

I tried to quickly walk into the room.

The beds were nice.

They looked really comfortable.

I wanted to just curl up in them.

But I couldn't, not with Ivy around.

We both put our suitcases on the floor and started to unpack.

Out of nowhere, she went, "Hey, Kim, right?"

"Yeah," I mumbled.

"Listen, I'm sorry if I ever did anything to hurt you, but I swear I'm a changed person."

"Whether you believe me or not is up to you, but just know I'm going to do my best to prove to you that I'm different!" 

She sounded really passionate.

I was a little taken aback.

How she knew I was scared, I had no idea.

We both continued to unpack our things.

Awhile later, we were all called to eat.

We sat down at this huge table.

Whilst everyone chatted, Ivy and I sat there eating, occasionally giving each other awkward stares.

"Right, Kim?" I heard Garroth say.

"Huh?"

Everyone burst out laughing.

'What did I do wrong?

What did I say?

Why were they all laughing at me?'

I continued eating the food, no longer giving anyone any awkward stares.

I heard things in my head.

It all became one loud, annoying ringing sound.

"Hey, what are you still doing here?" Garroth shocked me.

"Oh, I was eating-"

"Kimmy, your food is done."

I looked down at my plate.

He was, of course, right.

"I didn't notice."

"How could you not notice that your food was all eaten up?"

"Anyways, I'll walk you to your room."

I mumbled an 'okay'.

I got out of the chair and walked with him to my room.

He opened the door for me.

He was such a gentleman!

In my room, I saw Ivy sitting on her bed, swinging her legs.

"I'll see you tomorrow Kim!" Garroth smiled.

Irene, I loved that smile.

He walked away to his room joyfully.

I closed my room door, and was shocked at the fact that Ivy was behind me.

"Uhm, hi?" I greeted.

"Sorry if I scared you! I just wanted to know how you were," She apologised.

I was quite shocked.

I mean, why would she want to know how I was feeling?

She saw my puzzled look.

"You just looked really tense back there, that's all."

"Oh, thanks," I blurted out.

'Why did I just thank her for nothing?

She's going to think I'm so weird.

Like what, thanks for observing me?'

So I said that.

'No Kim! I didn't actually want you to do that!'

She laughed.

'And now she was laughing at me, of course.'

"No problem." 

Ivy went back to the bed she was sitting on and layed down.

Suddenly, I felt tears running down my face.

"What's wrong?" Ivy asked, immediately coming to my aid.

That night, I told her a lot.

All the crazy adventures.

The laughing at the dinner table.

The more I told her, the more I remembered that she didn't really do anything much to me.

Maybe I was just jealous.

After the cry fest, we talked about things that normal people did.

Eventually, we dozed off to sleep.
