"I'm sorry... What?" Hoseok asked as he leaned closer like if he did it would improve his hearing and understanding of what the hell this random woman was talking about.

"They are sad, your flower children." She confirmed, not phased at all.

"My what?!" Hoseok nearly choked. "I'm sorry, I have no children ma'am." He tried to remain respectful.

"Don't mind Petunia. She's... shall we say- intuitive to these things." The old man said with a grin.

"Petunia?" Hoseok asked, looking at the woman. "She's like... let me guess. She comes from a flower too." Hoseok said, getting a little irritated for no particular reason.

"Ah, so you DID nurture the flower." The old man smiled wide.

"I what? No! No... I was woken up by that weird flower you gave me and suddenly a tiny naked woman popped out of it!" Hoseok was seeming to accuse him of something, but it wasn't clear what.

"Yes. Meaning you nurtured her into being born to you. Those flowers only open to their parents and to the ones they're meant for." The old man said with a smug look.

"I..." Hoseok didn't know what to say. But then he remembered what Petal had told him. "She's like a happiness sprite right? That's what she said, she's is here to make things easier for me or something." Hoseok repeated what he could remember of that conversation.

"In a sense I guess. Petunia my darling, can you explain it better?" He asked as he turned to the pretty but older woman.

"Of course. We are flower sprites, till we find our special one. The one we are meant for. Like I am meant for Rupert here." She blushed and looked at the old man who's name was apparently Rupert. Hoseok listened as she continued on. "We bring happiness, that is our main purpose. Special men and women who have a special bond with nature. We gravitate to them and we gift them with our being. As well as our children. Both kinds." She smiled and blushed again.

"B-both kinds? I didn't know there were... I'm confused." Hoseok spoke, slightly looking afraid.

"The flowers here, your children with your... well your one like me will be born from some of them. They will turn into special flowers and you will gift them to those who are worthy. Not only that but you will have human children too.. once your one like me is fully human. It will take a while... though her appearance will fade faster than her magic." Petunia informed him.

"Wait.. wait. Okay let me get this right- So. Some of these flowers will become like how Petal was. Like.. they'll have a tiny person in them?" Hoseok asked. Petunia nodded.

"They will be little when they bloom for you and you'll have to nurture them. Don't worry, Petal? You said her name was? She will know how to take care of them. They will grow and bloom every spring to learn and grow from you. Then once they become of age their flower will lock them up till they are given to their special one. Like Rupert gave you Petal. You cannot name those little flower buds though, they are not yours to name. Once Petal becomes human, and she will. I'm sure she's already started to notice the changes." At those ending words Hoseok's eyes lit up.

"Oh my.. You.. petunia, you need to... to... wait here. You need to talk to Petal. She was crying, she said she can't go small without it being painful and there's something going on with her wings. She's afraid and she was crying. Hang on, please stay right here?" He asked, begged. Once Petunia looked at Rupert and both of them nodded to Hoseok, he bolted up the stairs and pushed his way into the apartment.

"Petal!" He called loudly but she refused to answer. He knocked on his bedroom door. "Petal?" He called more softly.

"Go away you jerk!" She screamed at him. Hoseok stepped back and sighed. He didn't have a lock on his door, but he had never just busted in on her because he didn't think it was right. But now.. now wasn't the time to be so soft. She needed to hear what Petunia had to say.

"Petal... of you don't open this door I'm.... I... I'm going to.." He was trying to sound threatening but he couldn't seem to muster it up. Maybe because it was her, maybe because he had always thought it was best to bottle that emotion up.

"You're going to what?! I said go away! You're a jerk!" She yelled from behind the door, Hoseok was losing his patience though, he felt it but tried so hard to hang on.

"Petal." He called through gritted teeth. "You can be mad at me... but I really need you to come downstairs with me." He again spoke through gritted teeth, trying not to sound too annoyed or mad.

"NO!" She shouted. Hoseok was drawing in a deep breath, trying to keep himself calm.

"Petal, this is the final call.. stop acting like a child. I need you to come downstairs with me." Hoseok tried one last time.

"Leave me... ALONE!" With her last yell, Hoseok had enough. He gripped the door nob and pushed the door open. Petal was still in just Hoseok's t-shirt. His face was stern, but his breath hitched a bit as he saw her sitting on the edge of the bed with tear stained cheeks, his t-shirt lifted slightly from her bare thighs. He steadied himself, put up as many walls as he could and stepped heavily to her. He grabbed her arm gently and tossed it over him while he lifted her up, setting her over his shoulder. Petal was completely bewildered, with her panties riding up and showing the underside of her cheeks, Hoseok gave her bottom a slight smack.

"That's for making me bring you down like this." He said sternly, his voice heavy. Petal had yelped but that strong floral scent hit Hoseok again and made it difficult for him to focus. He continued to carry her out of the apartment and down the stairs. Rupert and Petunia's eyes widened a bit till Hoseok set Petal down in front of them. Petal looked at the two, her eyes widened as she saw the old man and woman though.

"Grumpy! Momma!" She threw her arms over each of them and hugged them close. Petunia smiled and held Petal close. Rupert kissed her forehead and hugged both women. Petal started to tear up.

"Momma... momma it hurts. I can't be with the flowers anymore and I don't understand it. I can hear them.. feel them.." Petal looked around the shop before resting her tear filled eyes on Petunia. The older woman held her close again. Rupert smiled and stood back a bit.

"You're alright my little flower. You're becoming like me, like your father. You're slowly becoming more human. Your body will change over time, you won't be able to be small anymore because it will hurt too much. It's normal my little one." Petunia soothed Petal with her words.

"What of my wings? They're fading..." Petal sobbed a bit, Petunia just held her while she calmed down. Rupert held Petal again as Petunia stood back this time.

"Listen to me my child. You won't be able to fly, it's normal. You're becoming human because you've found someone worth your love, your heart... possibly. It's for you to decide. I handed you over because I knew he was special. But trust me.. if you don't feel anything for him, you can come home. You can come back to the farm and we'll find you someone new." Rupert's words made Petal stand back and smile.

"I... I don't know." She said.

"Do you like it here?" Petunia asked.

"I love this little shop. The flowers are so nice and kind and happy." Petal answered.

"What of Hoseok?" Rupert asked as he looked Hoseok over. Hoseok had been trying to keep quiet, let this family have their moment.

"He's kind..." Petal spoke softly.

"Really? I thought I was a meanie?" Hoseok chimed in. Petal turned and stuck her tongue out at Hoseok.

"He's okay. I don't know yet." She replied to Petunia and Rupert.

"If you boys wouldn't mind giving us girls a bit of time to talk here?" Petunia asked. Rupert nodded and motioned for Hoseok to follow him outside. Hoseok had a strange feeling he was about to get 'The Talk' from Petals supposed father.
