Chapter 4- Wake Up.

I woke up really early the following morning, I decided to go into Julie's room to see if she wanted to go get coffee with me on the way to school, but she wasn't in there. She probably went over to Flynn's before. I checked in the studio too see if the boys had slept okay, but instead I saw Julie at the piano, inspecting a song me and mom had written before she died. I remember us writing it. It was the day after I was released from hospital and I was picked on for missing school for 3 weeks, the  didn't know, but it still hurt. I came home crying. Mom knew that this was the only way to cheer me up, so we sat and wrote this for 3 hours. Julie saw me at the door frame and moved over on the piano bench. I went over at sat down next to her.

"I miss her." Julie stated after moments of silence.

"Yeah, so do I." I  replied.

"I remember her writing this with you after you got home. I was sat on the couch just watching you guys, then we went for ice cream." She was lost in though while she was remembering.

"Yeah, I remember too." I smiled at the sight of Julie sitting at the piano, she looked so natural sitting there. Her fingers hovered over the keys of the piano, and she started playing the melody for the song. I looked down at her fingers in surprise, I thought that she wasn't ready, after all I over-heard dad complaining to Julie that she got kicked out of the music program yesterday due to her running out of class at the sight of playing, I kicked myself for missing that class yesterday I could've been there to comfort her, but instead I was doing some stupid tests to see if it had come back, only to be informed that they wouldn't even know until a few days after, and even when they did, I wouldn't find out until a couple of weeks after it.

I turn to Julie and harmonise with her.

(Julie)

I smiled at her, and proceeded to pick up the music sheet, as I flicked to the last page I saw a small message at the bottom and showed it to Julie and she took the pages from me.

To Julie and Sky,

Love Mom.

She held the pages close to her chest, and I saw something move out of the corner of my eyes. I gave Julie a questioning look, but she was looking down at the floor. By the time, I looked in the direction that it came from, there was nothing there. Huh must have been imagining things, I thought to myself. That's when Flynn came in clearly crying, so I took that as my signal and left Julie  to talk to Flynn, although I liked Flynn and she was my friend, I just never got close to her like Julie did. I had my own best friend, Taylor.

I walked outside and saw the boys peeking through the studio window.

"Ummm, what are you  guys doing out here?" I asked.

"We were just- ummm, oh hey look Julie!" Reggie replied as Julie walked out of the studio.

"Hey!" She replied before realising her mistake with Flynn, "Let's hustle!" She quickly recovered.

"Well do you guys want to come with me to Starbucks, I have to pick up Taylor first but  I can drop you at school?" I asked trying to advert the conversation.

"Oh my gosh yes! You bare the best Scarlett Molina." Flynn replied with a gasp of excitement. Julie waved at the boys before quickly recovering it with swatting a bug away.

"Hey bitch." Taylor exclaimed as she got in the car.

"There are children around Tay." I reminded her.

"Oh hey Jules and Flynn." She said acknowledging them. We pulled up to Starbucks and placed our orders, the guy serving us was really cute. Not as cute as Reggie.

"Hey." He said to me once he noticed I was staring, I quickly looked away and blushed.

"Oh um hey." I replied, I was really nervous. He handed us our drinks and Taylor just smiled widely, while I drove, "What the fuck are you smiling at?" I questioned.

"Look at you cup." She replied just bursting into fits of giggles. I looked and the guy and taped his number onto the cup. I looked down, not wanting anybody to see the hint of red that was crawling on my cheeks.

A/N- Hi guys, this was a little bit of a longer chapter, sorry it took so long to update, I'm making a Maze runner story as well, so I'm thinking of updating each story every other day. Thanks for reading!
