Chapter 1

The next morning Lane gave the phone number to Bastien to trace & ping. Brent also tripled the security around the royal couple. Today Liam needed to do work at the palace. But he felt that it was safer for Gracelyn to stay at Manson. He asked Dean & Oaklee to stay with her.

****The Executive Mansion****

Lane had meetings most of the day. Decided to order dinner to be eaten in his study. Lane had heard that the new chief Gavin was very good by all reports given to him. He ordered chicken Tangene his favorite. There was a knock on the door, a servant brought in a dinner cart.,

" Good evening your majesity! Enjoy your dinner!" She bows & leaves closing the door behind her.
Lane walks over to pick up his plate & tea, going back to his desk. He was reading while he ate & drank his tea. After awhile he was becoming warm & nausous. Feeling sweaty, he got up to open a window to get some fresh air. Before he reached the window, he passed out falling to the floor.

Within a few minutes, several men came out of the secret passage. They picked up Liam carrying him through the passage way to the nearest exit to a waiting van.

****Unknown Duchy****

After a long drive Lanestarted to stir even though he was blindfolded. He was still out of it with his hands tied behind his back.

When the van came to a stop, they put a gag on Lane. Lane could feel himself being lifted up. He was assisted in walking. When they were stopped, they untied his hands to just chain them to the wall. They took his gag off,
" Do You Know Who I Am?" Liam hisses in booming voice. His question is met with a hard punch. Then he heard footsteps fade away.

As he fights against the restraints, Liam could sense there was someone was nearby.

" Hello! Who's there""

" They're gone for now!" Liam stayed still for a moment, I know that voice!
Leo?"

" Yes, little brother, it's me! You should be able to reach your blindfold! "Liam reached over pulling the blindfold off.

" Leo, Where are we?" Liam couldn't believe his eyes what he saw. Leo had been beaten.

" I'm not sure. I've been here a few days!"

" Why did they do this to you?" Leo gave him a rueful smile, " They wanted info about the palace. I got the impression they were going to take Gracelyn, not you! They want something!"

" Did they say what?" Leo shook his head, then Liam shook his head to shake the cobb webs out of his head & from disbelief!

****Executive Mansion****

Gracelyn hears her phone ping, smiling thinking it was Liam.
Believing he was up early, coming home early. She was in for a big surprise.

Rage filled Grace! How Dare He! Grace dialed Brent.

" Hello Grace!"

" Bastien, have you talked to Liam recently?"

" No, we thought he spent the night in the study to get work done to get back to you! Why?"

" I got a text from my ex David saying he has him!"

" Let me check the study. Stay on the phone!" After a few minutes, Brent had barked orders into his ear piece, he speaks to Grace.

" The mansion is now on lockdown! And so is Villa! Save the text! Notify Dean & Oaklee! I'm on my way there!"
Grace calls Dean & Oaklee into her study, filling them in on the situation.
" I'll call Bastien to see how the best way to secure the Duchy." Drake stated as he walked out of the study.
Grace turned to Oaklee, " Oaklee, I need your assistance. You have training that I lack. What do I do now?"
