Killer Past.                                                  Chapter 9, Suspicious.                                                                                                                                                  ****
At the end of the meeting, Bart turns looking at Mary, “I have a task for you. Every time you see the Governor leave the building,  let me know. I’m going to have him followed.” Mary thought for a moment,

“Then what will happen?” Bart chuckles,

“Then I will let you know the location, and we’ll see what you find out and go from there.” Mary gets a wicked grin,

“Believe me I can’t wait. He seemed relieved to not go on that one on one date.” Then Mary’s phone pings from a text message,

Lane: Mary,  please make some arrangements at the Scooter Fun Center, then I will Sandy out for lunch, but she will choose where. Thank you.

Mary: Of course. Are you sure you don’t need dinner plans?”

Lane: Yes, I’m sure. I would want all dates to be during the day until further notice.

Mary frowns at the last text, “What is it Mary?” Nev inquires,

“Gov Lane texted me to arrange his date only during the daytime only.”

“Is that good or bad.? Find out why when you can Mary.” Mary nods as she leaves the office.

****The Next Day****

Mary knocks on Lane’s study, “Come in.” Lane steps A-side nodding in acknowledgement,

“What’s going on Mary?” Oaklee inquires,

“Gov Lane, you have two meetings starting in thirty minutes.” Lane shakes his head,

“Anything else Mary?” Mary nods,

“Your date with Sandy starts at 11am until it’s over.  It can be all day since you have nothing  else scheduled for the day.” Lane snickers,

“Thank you Mary.. Please tell Sandy to dress comfortably for fun. You’re dismissed.” After Mary walks out, Lane turns to Oaklee.

“I’m going to enjoy my time with Sandy.” Oaklee arches her brow at him in confusion, causing Lane to laugh heartily.

“Why are you excited? I’m very confused.”

“I have a chance to get to know her, because Dean is interested in her. That way I can get info to give him, to see if they’re a good match for each other.” Oaklee chuckles,

“I love seeing the old you back. Do you need us to go with you?” Lane thinks for a moment,

“Dean is going with me, but I need you here to keep an eye on things here.” Oaklee gets an evil grin,

“So you’re trusting me to watch things here? Well, Lane,  I will do everything I can to flush out the mole.”

“Oaklee,  I’m counting on it! I’ll be ecstatic to take the person who is behind all of this mess.” Lane winks at Oaklee with an evil grin,

“I need to get through these meetings and the date, so I can go see my beautiful wife!” With that Lane heads towards his meetings, while Oaklee leaves to inquire.

****Date Time****

A little before 11 am,  Lane changes into black jeans and a Grey polo shirt. He heads towards the Suitor Suite, Heather answers the door allowing him to enter. Lane walks into the living area to Greet the ladies.
