"HUH...WHERE...AM I?" Y/n whispered aloud to herself, surveying her surroundings. The room was small and dark, but she could tell she seemed to be in some sort of bar.

There were a few wooden tables for seating, and a alcohol bar stationed in the back corner with shelves of vodka and wine. At the front was a small stage, but there were scarlet red curtains that had been pulled across the platform, hiding whatever was behind them.

The floors were a checkerboard pattern with black and white tiles, and the brick walls were decorated in paintings...

but every painting was black.

Just black paper in a golden frame, hanging on the wall.

For some reason, she felt obligated to take a seat, so she pulled up a chair at one of the tables and quietly sat down. After a few moments, the red curtains pulled to the sides, a figure standing in the center.

A dim, soft white light then shone onto the person, acting as a spotlight for them. Y/n perked up, as the figure turned out to be...

Kaminari.

He was dressed in an all black suit, his hands gripping a microphone as it stood on its stand. Music started to play throughout the restaurant, making y/n jump.

"Kami?" She muttered, but the tunes were too loud that he couldn't hear her. But it didn't seem to matter, as he kept his eyes straight forward to the imaginary crowd.

He then smiled, singing to the music like he was actually performing.

He swayed back and forth, dancing with the microphone stand as if it were a person. He seemed to be enjoying himself, like he was the only person in the world...

like y/n wasn't there.

Y/n didn't really mind, though. She liked hearing his voice, it was like a hypnotic trance that could put her to sleep. So she relaxed in her seat, and let his voice fill her head.

But then...

the music suddenly stopped.

Kaminari stood up straight, his eyes narrowing and his face going blank, like someone had just told him something offense.

That's when his head whipped around to y/n, making the girl hitch with fear.

He just blinked at her. No emotion. Just blinking.

Y/n could hear her shaky breathing, and her hands and fingers trembled as well. She broke a cold sweat, as his glare made her uncontrollably uneasy.
"K-Kami?"

The spotlight then started to flicker. And everytime the light flickered off...

Kaminari's figure was distorted.

In the darkness, he looked like a tall...slender...demon...

In the light, he looked like himself.

Dark. Demon.

Light. Kaminari.

But then the light flickered off.

And didn't come back on.

Y/n whimpered as she stumbled out of her seat, slowly taking a few steps back. She lightly shook her head from side to side, her eyes swelling with tears.

"...Did you miss me?" The demon spoke. It was a high pitched tone, but it was raspy and horrifying, sounded like nails on a chalkboard.

"N-No...I didn't."

"You've unlocked a new fear! Wanna know what it is?"

"G...Go away!"

"The boy who was singing. That's who you're afraid of. You don't want him to leave you. You don't want to lose him."

"B-But...I know he won't-"

"Do you? If you knew, I wouldn't be here right now."

She couldn't take it anymore, she dashed to the exit door behind her, shaking the golden knob. "LET ME OUT!!" She screamed, punching her fist into the door and yanking the handle desperately.

"Don't leave so soon!" The demon pouted, using its long legs to step down from the stage, slowly walking towards the panicking girl. "We're just getting started."

"NO! I WANNA LEAVE! GO AWAY!!"

"You whine like a baby! That will surely push that boy you love away-"

"STOP IT!!" She begged, attempting to use her elbow to break the knob, but it was no use.

"Don't yell at me."

She froze, a cold chill shooting up her spine. The voice...

It was right behind her.

Whispering in her ear.

She slowly turned around, looking up at the 8 foot tall demon that towered over her. It smiled mischievously, it's drool stringing from its lips.

It then lifted up its hand, swiping its sharp fingers across her chest, drawing blood and deeply wounding her—

"STOP!!!" Y/n screamed, quickly sitting upright in her bed. She was breathing heavily, and fast too. Her body temperature had dropped a significant amount, and her clothes were damp from sweat.

She immediately slammed her hands into her chest, feeling around her body for any scratch marks. There was no evidence, but the pain was definitely still there.

"He will leave you."

"AHHH!" She shouted, whipping behind her as a voice whispered in her ear. Losing balance, she fell off the edge of her bed and onto the hard wood, crawling away and towards her door.

She frantically looked around the room, alarmed. She could barely focus her eyes, and her whole body was shaking. "No...Not again...not again-"

"We need to face your fears."

She lightly gasped to herself as she recalled Kaminari's words from a month ago. "...Face...my fears..."

She quickly scrambled to her feet, running out of her dorm.
