Chapter Nine - Bloody Rain

-Armin's POV-

Where am I? I'm on the ground. I'm sitting. Why am I wet, is it raining? No it was raining earlier. This is not rain. I know what this is. This is not rain.

I slowly opened my eyes. It was dark. It must been past 2:00 am right now. I looked around. It was an abandoned alley. Rain was just stopped and it was dark. I could hear dogs playing not so far from here. The only light source was the broken street light a few emty apartmans away. I stood up. My hands were bloody. My t-shirt and face too. I looked at the dirty river. It smelled really bad. Why would people come any near where sewer waters mix with a river and goes to the ocean?

I looked at dead body rigth in front of me. His name was Thomas Wagner. Age 15. Goes to same self defense class with Annie. He borrowed Annie's pen two days ago at Halloween. He gaved it back one day ago. He talked to Annie. He asked to go out for sometime. He didn't get an answer. He meeted with me thirty minutes ago. We walked here ten minutes ago. He died three minutes ago. He killed three minutes ago. I killed him three minutes ago. I tackled him and took a rock. Hit his head until his head cracked open. I took the rock again. It was covered with blood. I throw it to the sewer river without thinking. I did same for his dead body.

Why am I doing this again? Do you care about Annie? More than anything. We are doing this protect her got it? I think so. As I walked back rain started. It got heavier. It was a silent but a strong rain. No thunder just rain. I looked up as I walked. All blood from my friend was cleaning from my face. I smiled as rain cleaned me. Wonder what's gonna happen when they found him? Who cares. He's dead for fucks sake. Not like he's gonna tell anything. I suppose you are right. I'm gonna take a shower

-Time skip to a few days later-

-Armin's POV-
A few days past and as expected Thomas's absence was noticed. I didn't said anything about him. For people around me I don't even know his name. Well it would be rude for me to make them a liar

I was focused on lessons and Annie of course. We were almost together for time being and for some reason people were afraid of me when we were together. I have no idea why. I was walking to my biology class right now. I saw Eren in the half way

"Hey Armin!" he came next to me and we started to chat while we walked to the class

"And than my mom said "Why won't you listen to me? At least listen my final request!" Can you believe her? She's so dramatic. Not like she's dead" he whined again

"Be glad that she is alive" it sounded way more agressive than I wanted to say

"Sorry. I forgot" he tried to half hug me failing real bad

"No problem" I faked a smile. We were silent for rest of the way

"Good morning class. Let's start shall we?"

The lesson was boring. I've never been felt like this. It was really boring. I looked at Annie for a while. I wanted to talk to her, be close to her. I stared at her until she glared at me. I stopped imidiatly.

End of class was a fiasco. Teacher wanted us to make animal cell (sorry I don't know 2nd year high school subjects). She teamed us with people and I WASN'T WITH ANNIE!!!

I was with Reiner, Marco, Mikasa, Jean, Floch. God I hate him. Annie's team was with transfer students who also came this year Hitch and Marlow, Nic, Mina and Eren. I was getting that feeling again. After the class I listened them. They were planning to hang out together for two weeks. Well it seems it's time for me to sharpen my claws
