The feeling of cold cement. That was the next thing I felt.

...

What...

What the fuck?

I rubbed my eyes.

What the hell just happened? Wasn't I just... falling endlessly?

What...

What am I staring at?

I lay facing the hole I had just fell through. I have no clue how the hell I fit through that, much less survived it.

I could see light coming from the other end of the hole. It almost looked... fake? Painted on, I guess? Hey, now that I think about it, did I even face any fall damage, like, at all? Hm.

I sat up, clenching my back. "Augh, fuuuccckkk..." I moaned.

I looked at where I landed. No chunks of wood. Huh. When I finally came to my senses, I got a glimpse of the rest of where I was.

Woah, holy fuck! I'm in the casino basement!

...I think?

I mean, uh, it's like, kinda empty aside from some boxes and pipes. It was all gloomy and rusted, though it was surprisingly tidy for a basement. There was also a surprising absence of cobwebs and other gross shit. One thing seemed out of place though, that being an iron chandelier loosely hanging from the ceiling just within my reach. It was a traditional one, like, with candles and shit. Only three of the ten were lit. How the fuck does this even manage to illuminate the roo-

Ah, an open window! Oh damn, the sun is setting. I can tell, cause the sky's all orange colored. Just how long was I asleep? I took a peek at my watch. The time was... uh. Yeah, it was kinda hard to tell with the glass being shattered, but I could make out the minute hand being gone, for some strange reason. The hour hand kept ticking back and forth between five and twelve. Shit... this one cost me quite a bit.

I don't know if this is normal, but it smells like... nothing. No odors like, at all. Not even the typical dusty and dirty smell you'd normally get in a basement. This is likely for the better.

Well... um, what now? I could get outta here by scooting some shit under the window, though, I'm not so sure if I wanna leave yet. I could find some valuable stuff down here. It is a casino, after all.

I then got on my feet and walked over to the rusted storage racks in the corner of the room. About three cardboard boxes lay inside each row. They were all sealed shut with duct tape. I got ahold of one and good God, are these heavy!

I set it down on the floor beside me and pulled out a pocket knife out of one of my many jacket pockets. I stabbed the box, and tore it open from there.

...

My jaw dropped.

GOLD BARS?!?! THEY KEEP FUCKING GOLD BARS DOWN HERE?!?!

Yeah, I'll be taking these for sure! Maybe I can finally move out to someplace nice or some shit with these babes! I'll finally get the respect I've been asking all this time for!
