Chicago, IL | Phoenix Casino

I pulled on the door handle. C'mon, open, you damn piece of shi- Oh, wait, that's right, I had a key! Now where did I leave it? I scrimmaged in my new coat's pockets. I coulda sworn I left it rigggghhhht... HERE!

I felt the outline of the thin wooden key hiding in my chest pocket. I then unzipped it, and pulled it out.

Whew, last night was a daze! After I dried all of my clothes, I had to run right back to my rented hotel room and stuff everything back in there. Then I had to get ready to come back here to meet up with him- Owen. I made sure I packed all the right things: Knives, money, tools, you get it. I also may have showed up a bit late, but, here I am.

I listened to the ongoing traffic behind me. I wonder what they were thinking of some guy like me standing at the door of a closed casino. What am I to them, a crackhead? God, this is embarrassing. I gotta get this done with quick.

I looked around the door handle, looking for a keyhole. What? It's not here? I looked around and then under handle and found it.

Sweet.

I shoved the key into the hole like they were having sex or something. I then turned the key to pop the door open, but it didn't budge. What? No, there's no way. I reinserted the key, and twisted it again. Please work, please work, please work. It didn't.

"Agh, damn it!" I screamed out loud. I swear, on God that I'm gonna bust this damn door dow-

Something caught my eye. A scrap of paper was drifting over me. I realized it was right beside a security camera. Oh? What the hell could this be?

I caught the scrap while it drifted down. I uncrumbled the paper and read it.

Right side door.
- Owen

I sighed. Oh my God, that little scumbag. He knows fully damn well he could have specified this earlier. I gave the security camera a dirty look, and scoffed before walking off to the side of the building. I stuffed the paper in my cargo shorts' pockets.

Hey, say, speaking of security cameras, how the hell did that one news station get that footage of me? Not just that certain one either, I can infer that multiple news anchors showed those clips of me from the many looks I get when I'm just walking on the sidewalk.
