Buffy The Vampire Slayer One Shots

Giles' Friday Night

It was an unusually calm Friday night in Sunnydale, so Giles decided to pick a book at random to read for fun. The title read 'The Vampire Diaries'. With a shrug, the librarian sat down at his desk to give it a try. If it was about vampires, it surely had to be good, he thought.
A few chapters in, he realized it was going to be one of those teen dramas with love triangle, but with vampires for the girl's heart to decide.
"Stefan and Damon are so Angel and Spike," he muttered to himself.

To his surprise, he found himself almost finishing the first book by 10 pm.
"Are you seriously reading the vampire diaries?" Buffy groaned as Giles dropped the book in surprise. He had been so absorbed, he didn't hear the slayer coming.
"N-no. Just seeing if someone made up a story about you," he fibbed.
"Well, is it?" She snapped.
"It came out a few years ago, so probably not. But Elena is similar to you in certain ways."
"Wow. You need a life," the slayer said as she left the library. Giles then picked up the book on his desk and found where he left off.
"Yes I certainly do," he said.
