It was way before this day, some may say we're ancient. Loki had just had his 17th birthday, that's when we met. I remember him being totally neglected throughout the day and night when I stumbled along his aggressive walk through the outskirts of the Asgard palace. I was very poor at the time and was starving; life wasn't great when you're in rags on a rich planet practically made of gold. He walked over to me whilst I was talking to my local shop lady begging her for food and kindly handed me some money and asked if it was okay for him to buy me a decent meal. I decided not to acknowledge the fact I was talking to the what might be the Prince of Asgard and said yes. He had gotten me a loaf of bread and a glass bottle of water that was half full and that's when he asked me if I would tell him if I was okay and if I had anywhere to stay, I had no family, no home, no nothing so I told him all about that and where I grew up (which wasn't a pleasant part of Asgard).

He soon decided to ask me to come back to the palace to get me a place to stay even if it wasn't the best quality and to get a decent meal if his father approved. Which I said yes to also. The Asgard palace was huge even from a distance and by far one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen let alone up close. When we got to the gates the guards asked Loki who I was and he replied with "a guest", the guards nodded their heads and let us through. Loki asked for his father's appearance and he told me to stay outside until I was needed, I nodded and watched Loki as he entered the room where his father sat on his throne with a stare of disappointment.

All I heard was Loki and Odin having a rather loud conversation until he walked out and politely asked if I would come and greet his father which I nodded to and entered the room with my most quiet footsteps and greeted his father with a curtsy. Loki explained how I was no harm and won't cause any problems because he'd be the one taking care of me. After he said that Odin had given up and agreed but with a condition that I do not leave my room without permission and Loki must take care of me, if that wasn't agreed to I must leave the Asgard palace. We both nodded and I was escorted out of the room by Loki, he had his arm around my back in a very comforting way and for the first time I felt safe.

I was lead to my room where Loki and I both sat down and he asked if I was going to be okay for the night and I replied with a yes. He explained that before I went to sleep he would show me where his room was in case I needed him during the night, and so he did. I went back to my room which wasn't so far away from his and turned the main light off leaving the golden lamp next to my bed still on. I gave myself a tour round my room in amazement when I found a book to read before I drifted off to sleep.
