I was in a very deep sleep for what seemed like five minutes until I woke myself up with wide eyes and looked at the time "SH!T" it was 8:57 am, almost time for training and I hadn't even had breakfast. I managed to find a t-shirt and shorts and ran whilst putting my socks on for the elevator. I had brought a piece of raw bread with me to eat in the elevator too. Put my socks on, ate the bread and the doors opened again. Loki was there in his usual armour feeling..vulnerable without it I suppose. "No no Loki, this is training not a real fight." He rolled his eyes and clicked his fingers, he had disappeared. "Oh great LOKI COME BACK! I DIDNT GET UP FOR NOTHING!" As soon as I said that he appeared again in a black pair of long shorts and a shirt with his hair tied up in a low ponytail. "Happy now?" He sarcastically mumbled. "Yes thank you, and for that you'll need to do 39 push-ups" Loki sighed "why 39!?"
Let's just say Loki wasn't fond of that.
"Because I said so, you signed up for this."
Loki eventually did 39 push-ups and looked totally shattered afterwards "okay so let's get this straight, you can fight off almost an entire army of frost giants, but you can't do 39 push-ups without looking like you've run around the whole of Asgard?" I asked with my hands on my waist. Loki looked at me and rolled his eyes. "Punch bags next and then 17 laps around the palace running track." If Loki was exhausted then, oh boy would he be exhausted after that. I gave him a punch bag since I was way too short to reach and he put it up. "Now ill get you some fabric for your hands alright?" He nodded as I went to get some. I came back and wrapped it around his hands as he looked at me.
No, I can't love him just yet. I thought to myself.
He gave out a chuckle and I looked at him thinking nothing. "What now Loki?" He just smiled and said "nothing, nothing.."
After I'd wrapped his hands up he started to surprise me by punching the punch bag..really well. But I didn't say anything.

After that I took the fabric off his hands as he was looking at me again, this time with his eyes looking brighter, like there was no longer a dark cloud over them. I broke the silence "To the track we go then." But Loki was so out of breath he couldn't say anything back.
We got to the track and I was still sprinting with energy; probably because I did nothing. "17 laps, go."
As Loki started running round the track I felt slightly bad for maybe pushing him too hard? So I quickly got some old shoes on and sprinted round to where he was on the track. "Wait why are you running with me?" Loki said whilst running
"Didn't think I'd let you do this all on your own did you?" I smirked and I sprinted past him. After we ran 17 laps I saw Loki very desperate for water. Luckily I had a couple of water bottles with me so I grabbed one to give to Loki "here you go, no problem" he nodded at me in thanks and practically downed the whole thing. "I'm not sure if you're supposed to drink it that fast Loki" but he just ignored me and walked off.
The next day.
I was in my bedroom sipping a cup of tea when Loki walked in and offered me to go to the library with him, I nodded and followed him out the room. We sat down at the old, wooden library and I chose an old book about frost giants whilst he was reading about magic and illusions. We were reading quietly across the room from each other for maybe an hour and a half when Loki broke the silence. "I never got your name, or maybe a nickname?" I looked at him from the other side of the room and walked over to him, I sat down and told him "I don't like my name, people call me snake though"
Loki tried so hard not to chuckle but he couldn't hold it in "snake! Are you serious?!"
"If only you knew what you just said" i said as I stated at Loki with a very serious face then got up and left to my room. As soon as I got to my room I locked it and sat on the other side of the door. The reason why I was so upset with him is because snake was given to me by my parents, not out of offence, just because they once said to me "snakes are kind in most cases, until they're disturbed. Then they'll become very strategic in a way to torture their prey, just like you." I sat down on the other side of the door reading the book that I've kept in my room so named "Romeo and Juliet" until a couple of hours later I heard a knock at my door."Hello, I'm sorry if I offended you. Can you please let me in and we can talk about it?" Feeling guilty but still angry I told him "please leave me alone, I do not want to have to explain it to you." I could sense that Loki did know something with terribly wrong and that I did want to talk about it. I heard a click and then to see Loki still in his gym clothes standing in front of me "I'm sorry.." he sat next to me by the door but I was still looking down at my book. "I'm not sure if you'd like to talk about it since it seems you've had quite a rough past, but if you want can you explain to me what the nickname 'snake' means to you?" I looked up at him looking into his eyes. "My parents gave it to me.." and Loki instantly knew what he'd done wrong.
