"Serena have you seen star?" Said a raven haired girl held in a braid. "She's in the tree taking a nap. You ready for your trip Desiree?" Said Serena on the tire swing. "Yeah. Ma and baba are taking me to see Aladdin the musical tonight." Said Desiree. "Anyways want to help plant in these lily seeds?" Said Serena holding the small packet. "Sure. I love how your passionate about gardening." Said Desiree grabbing the shovel. "I just want to keep this place alive for mom." Said Serena looking at the rose bush with a memorial sign. "Remember what my Baba said that she's in your heart no matter where you go." Said Desiree digging a small hole and dropped the seed in before covering it up. "I know I just never really got to know whats it like to have a mother."Said Serena repeating the actions as Desiree. She sighed and continued the work on the garden with her best friend. A man with dark brown hair with a few grey hairs walked in drying his hands with a small towel. "Girls get inside. It looks were having bad weather." Said the man. "Ok daddy. Let me get Star." Said Serena climbing up the tree with ease. "Alright be careful." Said the man as Desiree rushed in side. Serena saw the tiny black kitten with a dot on its forehead stretching from its nap and meowed sweetly at her. "Come Star. Time to come inside." Said Serena as the kitten jumped down from the branch landing on her feet. Serena climbed down as picked her up and ran inside as it started to drizzle.
Desiree was in the living watching a disney movie on the tv. "What are we watching?" Said Serena putting Star down. "Hercules." Said Desiree. "I have heard of it maybe dad bought it when we were at school." Said Serena. Desiree shrugged as the muses interrupted the narrator and started singing the story. "Desiree your parents are here." Said Serena's father. The girls awed sadly and paused the movie. "I'll see you tomorrow ok and tell you about my trip." Said Desiree hugging her. Star was in her cage looking at them and purred when Serena scratched her chin gently. She handed Desiree her backpack and watched her rush to the car was it rained a little hard. "Be careful on the highway." Said Serena's father then closed the door. "Well I'm going to see what I cook for dinner. Go watch your movie." Said Serena's father rubbing her hair. "Ok daddy." Said Serena replaying the movie. After about two hours or so she decides to watch Aladdin knowing Desiree loved it since she did kinda looked like princess Jasmine. Serena's father came with two plates of chicken Alfredo and looked out the window. "Jesus it's raining up a storm." Said Serena's father. "Come on. Time to eat." He says while Serena turned off the tv and went to the table. Just as they were in the middle of eating the house phone rang. "I got it." Said Serena's father picking up the phone. "Hello. Yes this is them. What? Im so sorry. Ok thank you. Bye." He says hanging up the phone and sighed looking at Serena. "What's wrong daddy?" Said Serena.

Serena's Pov
It's been ten years since Desiree disappeared and no one knows how it happened. I've asked her parents but they always refuse to answer knowing its hard to talk about losing their only child. So I stopped and try to move on. Tried. Right now I'm in the backyard watering moms rose bush next to Desiree's. First my mom and my best friend. "Serena the bus is here." Dad called from the kitchen. I put the hose away and grabbed my bag after kissing my dads cheek. The bus driver nod a hello as I sat down in the back ignoring the noise of the gossip girls and the others who want nothing but torment me. "Hey cutie. Are you poison ivy cause you got me itching to ask you on a date?" Said a teen with purple streaks in his hair. Heath Thompson the flirt machine in high school trying to hook up with me since the fifth grade. "And don't forget that you under my skin." Said Serena him making him sit next to me. "Don't you have cheerleaders to check out?" She says. "Nope cause your more gorgeous then Amy fishermen." Said Heath wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "Then talk to her other than me." Said Serena as the bus came to a harsh stop making heathe hit his face against the seat in front of us. "Thanks Bert." Said Serena. Heath groan pinching his nose and took an empty seat away from me until Bert dropped us off. Through out te day was normal and the same. Going to classes, walking around the school grounds, and go home early.
The bell rang for sixth class which I dont have. Putting my books away in my locker I heard rain and thunder outside. "Great." I said sarcastically. I walked outside not caring about if I get sick at all. The weather started getting bad for instance the wind is blowing so hard the trees were swaying and with the rain is making impossible for me to stay still without falling on my butt. Out of nowhere a lightning struck a tree closes to Serena causing her slip and land on her head hard enough to not realize the tree breaking. She sat up touching the back of her head groaning pain and felt te stickiness of her own blood then notice the tree falling towards her fast. With the noises from the weather no one heard the blood hurling scream stop as the tree finished Serena off. Of so she thought. Her body soon disappeared after the large tree made contact. Just like Desiree no one knows how this happened or around when it happened.
