*3rd Person POV*

The afternoon was filled with paper work, and chit chat with the team. "Um...Emerson?" Spencer says, with a tight lipped smile. His hand lay at the back of his neck scratching it.

"Yes Reid?" Emerson says looking up from the paper she was writing on.

"You wanna see a magic trick?" The young doctor asks.

"Um of course!" Emerson says, smiling.

"It's what I like to call 'physics magic.'" The two doctors didn't notice the eyes watching. The team was intrigued by this so called 'physics magic.' They wanted to learn more.

"But you gotta turn away, a magician never reveals his secrets." He says, then turning to the rest of the group. "That counts for you guys too." Morgan puts his hands up in surrender, and turns away. Along with Emerson and Prentiss.

There are a few clicking noises, then a fizzing noise. "Ok! Hurry look." He says pointing at his 'project'. The team waits in anticipation, though nothing seems to happen.

"Nothings hap-." Spencer turns to the raven haired women.

"J-jjj just watch." He says high pitched stuttering over his J and moving his fingers around the cap. Suddenly a loud POP sounds, making Prentiss scream in shock. The miniature rocket shoots and flys across the carpet. It lands in front of a pair of feet.

"Reid...physics magic?" Hotch says, his eyebrows raised and he has pursed lips.

"Uh, yes sir." All the girls except Emerson have moved away from the scene, in fear of getting in trouble also.

"That went pretty far. But for safety reasons let's not do that again." The man smirks lightly and then walks away. Spencer sighs in relief, glad there was no punishment. He moves his eyes to the side, making eye contact with the girl beside him. Smiles tug on both their lips and then they burst out into laughter.

Emerson places her keys on the counter. Looking back at her day, even though she had just met the team they felt like family. There wasn't a case yet, but she still had a blast...especially with Reid. He was so kind, and awkward. He and her had much in common, and at the office even had a reading competition. Unfortunately Reid had finished his book 30 seconds before Emerson, but it was close. She was grateful she could show her big brain off to the team she wouldn't be spending most of her days with.

Emerson was relieved as she felt the hot water from the shower spray on her back. She hummed in satisfaction, and wetted her hair.

Stepping out of the shower into the fog of the bathroom, Emerson grabbed her towel and wrapped it around her wet body, quickly drying herself off. She opened her door and walked into her bedroom.

She tugged her top drawer open and pulled out her under garments and a pair of sleep shorts. She tugged the shorts over her under wear and jumped into bed. She pulled her white sheets over her body and fell into a peaceful sleep. Dreaming of the boy she had met earlier in the day.

A ringtone that was almost to familiar to the girl rang. She woke up and looked at the clock that laid on her end table.

5:30 AM...

It felt as though she had just fallen asleep, she wasn't ready to wake up quite yet. Though she still picked up her phone and clicked 'answer.'

"Hello?" She asked to the person on the other side.

"Hi Emerson, this is JJ...we have a case."
