With a sigh, I let the waves touch my feet. I used to enjoy doing this when I was younger. But right now, all it's left me were feelings of nostalgia splashing me like how the waves splashed it's water on my legs."Miss, you need to be back for your meeting."
"With whom was it again?"
"The estate agent. Paper signing— for property transfer, I guess."I just gave him a polit nod as he took out a small towel and handed it to me. I gladly took it, wiping my feet to dry, then my footwear. "Okay, please lead the way." Before I turned my heel towards the gates, I took a last glance at the beach as I got a feeling that I was being watched. But it seemed like it was just my mind playing tricks on me, as I only saw the huge rock that I used to sit on when my parents taught me to swim.
Another sigh.
The travel was short. Well, technically, it was just a small walk since I got myself a beach house. This time, I wanted to be able to recall everything. All those happy memories are what I want to remember, not those memories of me being tossed down by a huge wave. And I need to feel the constant flow of nostalgia everyday to achieve my goal.
This is what I need. A relaxation, vacation. But I'm not sure if I am able to take myself on water without the fear of being tossed and turned like a taco roll with the huge waves.
"How is the place so far, miss?"
She seemed tired from the travel. This part of town is actually thrity minutes away from the central area of the city. "It's amazing. You have chosen the best house. Thank you so much." She just sent me a tired, but sincere smile as she had taken out the papers needed to be signed.
Thirty minutes before lunch, the large basket filled with a green checkered blanket, sandwiches of different kinds and refreshing beverages were taken to the shore as I had decided to take a picnic by myself for lunch as the moving van had fixed up all the things needed to be moved.
As I stared at the ocean, I felt like a lot of things will change. And I think it sure did as soon as I saw a man— in his birthday suit, struggling to walk on the shore a few feet away from me.
