Chapter 9

Corbyn POV

I don't even know what to do as Daniel bursts out in tears

"Hey I know it's hard but you're gonna get through it, please just try, it's what your mother would want," I say rubbing his back. He continues to cry until he calms down.

"I think I need a few more days home," He sighs as we drive back to his house.

"Oh my goodness! Daniel!" My mom engulfs Daniel in a hug as he walks in the house, she didn't bother asking what happened she just took him to go eat and came back and gave me a tired look, it's not that she was tired of Daniel, she just wished he'd open up to her and tell her things instead of her asking but that was a long shot when he barely said anything to me, but considering that he didn't like me before all of this I don't exactly blame him, even his sister steers clear of him for some reason.

Daniel walks straight past me pulling me out of my thoughts and stand and watch him walk away and go back to his room.

"Mom, why is Daniel in the guest room?" She sighs and looks up at me. "Daniel asked to be alone, I wouldn't stop him but he promised to eat every once in a while so I allowed him," She says and walks out making a call.

"Corbyn! we're going to the movies," Jordan throws me my coat and we head out with everyone else.

I decided to stay behind and go to the park after the movie and the house has gone dark, so I get the spare key opening the door, but I notice one light is on in the kitchen. I was about to switch off the light when I noticed who was in the kitchen, Daniel stood there staring at the wall, he didn't even notice me sit down next to him, so he shreeked when I tapped him on the shoulder, "Corbyn what the hell!" He whisper shouts. "Sorry I just got back and came to check why the light was on and I just thought you'd want company," I smile cheekily. "You're a creep my friend," He sighs. "Oh so we're friends now," I grin even more as he scrunches his face. "You're pushy it, Besson," He tries to give me a serious look but you can see the smile threatening to break out.

"I'm think of making some midnight cookies," I yawn, I was getting sleepy but I didn't want to leave Daniel alone. "I made sandwiches, just take a few and go sleep, I now you're tired," Daniel sighs tiredly. "Why weren't you sleeping," I ask grabbing one sandwich. "I had a nightmare, so I just decided to come down and eat cause I haven't eaten all day, and my mom woul-"his voice breaks as he realizes his mistake and goes silent. "I'm really sorry Daniel," He nods and walks upstairs as I put away the food and follow, I find him dead asleep in his bed, I suppose the guest room was lonely, either way I didn't give it much thought and crashed on my bed.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping, and wrap my arms around the pillow infront of me, WAIT NO- I DON'T HAVE A PILLOW INFRONT OF ME, I snap my eyes open falling off the bed. There infront of me was Daniel who was still sound asleep. How the hell did he end up in my bed. I look behind me and there is MY BED. I fell asleep in Daniel's bed WHAT THE HELL

I softly move off his bed and go take a shower. I walk out and see an extremely happy Daniel already dressed. "Sorry for taking so long in the shower," I smile sheepishly. "It's okay, I used another bathroom, I made breakfast too, we should probably go downstairs," Daniel walks out with me not far behind him and see my mom and brother already done and I silently motion to Daniel while he's not looking and my mom just shrugs.

"So Corbyn you will be staying here with Daniel, I'm going to work, and your siblings have left for school, I've spoken to the school they'll give the others your work and send videos so you do your work," my mom gives us hugs then leaves for work.

"So it's just the two of us," Daniel smirks at me and I know it's not a good thing.
