Chapter 4

Never say you love me if you don't mean it, for I might do something stupid... such as believing it.

"Hey, Lola," I shouted as I ran up to her out of breath. "Hey Corbyn," she said as I leaned against a locker trying to catch my breath.

"I was wondering if you could help me with my science assignment tonight," I said my voice so low that even Lola struggled to process what I said. "I can't tonight maybe tomorrow," regret evident in her voice. "Ok cool," I said standing straight giving a her a huge smile before walking away.

"Hey Rae Rae," I shouted as I walked up to my friend Raelynn.

Hey Corbs," she hadn't taken her eyes of her phone screen for the past to days she was always texting someone.
"Who talking to," I asked peeking over shoulder. "That's none of your business," she retaliated.

"Ok you don't have to snap though," I said backing off. "Where's everyone else," I asked as they all came running, this was where we all met in the morning before class.

"Hey y'all are late today what happened," I said cause they never come altogether.

"Sorry there was an accident on the highway so we all had to wait, "Eben managed to say still out of breath. "Let's go to class," I said as we all marched off to our different classes.

"Well I just wasted my morning," I mumbled to myself as I headed to class while the others weren't far behind.

Daniel POV

"Heyyy, Jonah," I shouted as I ran up to him as we entered the school.
"Hey Daniel, Jade's been looking for you," he said pointing at her as she searched the area for me.

"I'll just run to class before she sees me," I whispered to Jonah but before I could move she had spotted me. I tried to turn like I didn't hear until she grabbed my arm.

"Hey Daniel did you get it for me," Jade asked a huge smile plastered on her face with hope in her eyes. "No, and face dropped, ".. atleast not yet," I finished and her face lit up again.

"Okay thank you so much," she said as she headed towards her best friend Ivory.

Ivory is my ex-girlfriend, I loved her but I think she didn't feel the same.

Ivory looked my way and smiled giving a shy wave in my direction. I smiled and turned away.

*In class*

"Daniel James Seavey, the principal would like to see you in his office about a personal matter," the teacher called out, I didn't find his need to say for a 'personal matter' it sort of defeats the point of it being personal.

"Yes Mr. Kale, I heard to wanted to see me," I said as I entered the principal's office. "Yes Daniel I have a rather disturbing matter to discuss with you, I have received a call from you older brother Tyler of some very disturbing events that have led to the death of your Mother,"
"WHAT!!?!?!" I screamed before everything went black.
