It was mid July and almost Sasuke's birthday, bout to turn 22. He's invited to go to his parent's house on his day as they were hosting a party for his dad's promotional work as well as for him. Of course the party was made up of not only his few friends, but the whole family and his dad's business partners and such. They always went above and beyond, especially his mom. She really cherished her boys since she only had the two of them. As they arrive to the mansion of a house, one step in and his mom right away notices a 2nd ring on her son's finger, as well as on Sakura's. She right away grabs his hand and says, "What's this sweet heart?" He snatches his hand back, "Mom...why do you have to do that. I'm gonna tell both of you together, alright?" His mom stands there surprised, but angry that she wasn't told sooner. "I see. This is how you treat me after all this time I've supported you both." That last part she scanned Sakura up and down with a face of disgust.
She walks away, and Sasuke goes after her, but not before he turns to Sakura and says, "It's alright, I'm gonna talk to her. Go meet up with the others, I'll be there." "Alright." She walks herself into their big living area to find the main gather, and sees his band mates on the side looking a bit awkward, along with Ino and the girls they invited. "Hey guys!" "Heeey! Where's Sasuke?" "He's umm...dealing with his mom. She kind of saw our rings." All the guys make a painful face. "Ouch...that's gonna be harsh." Sakura nods, agreeing. "Yup...and I'm glad I'm not present right this minute." After about 40 minutes and still no show of Sasuke, she goes to get another drink from one the bars. As she's waiting for her drink, she scans the room a little... and sees him.She almost faints and dies from shock and embarrassment that he was even here. 'What the hell?! Really???' The bartender finally serves her drink and she turns to see him once more, and they meet eyes for a split second, making her blush and turn to head back to her group. 'Cherry Blossom?' he says to himself as his eyes follow her leaving the bar. "Excuse me will you?" he says to the woman talking to him about something uninteresting for his liking. As he's keeping track of her from a distance, as to not startle her, he hears her name for the first time. "Hey Sakura! Can you get me another tequila sunrise!!" Ino shouts, making her close her eyes and hoped he didn't hear it, but her damn friend was so loud, it was a miracle if he didn't. Not good. She nods to her friend and gives her a fake smile and turns back to head to the bar, that's when he decides its his chance to approach her.
As he's walking up, he sees her long natural hair he hadn't seen before, as well as getting a clear look at her flawless face without all that heavy make-up she wore at work, along with her lovely dress that fit well to her goddess shapely figure. Coming next to her, she gulps feeling his presence, and even worse when he hears his voice. "Could I speak to you outside?" She exhales and tells the bartender to hold the drink she ordered, as she walks straight outside to the garden, not making any contact with him.As she reaches one of the fountains, she stops and takes a huge swig from her drink as she knew she was gonna need more soon. He stands next to her, but keeps a friendly distance and can't ignore the rings sparkling his way as she held her drink up. He starts with a, "So...Sakura, huh?" She doesn't say anything. They begin to walk around in the rich garden with his hands in his pockets. He turns to look at her and finds the words he wants to say. "Have you given my offer another thought?" She takes deep breaths and smells one of the flowers half way bloomed. "I haven't." He smirks right away knowing she was going to make this difficult. "Are you already taken, Sakura?" He never bothered to ask her during their countless private sessions because it wasn't something that he really cared about, but seeing her right now in that dress, along with some rings that were obvious, he needed confirmation. Though, he didn't want to really hear the truth...he wanted her...he wanted to hear her voice...and he usually got what he wanted. "That's none of your business Mr. Hatake. If this was all, I'm going to be going back into the party."
