Chapter Seven, Mordecais Question, Rigbys Statement

Mordecai pulled you aside while y'all were working and said he needed to ask you a question. He asked "Hey Y/n, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to watch a movie with me tonight? Just me and you?" Your cheeks flushed red but you tried to hide it best the best you could. You said "Yeah sure" and have him a smile. He said "Cool. Can't wait!" You were nervous for some odd reason. It could be the fact that you've never hung out with Mordecai by yourself. Rigby was always there. Time skip to the end of the day, because the rest was just y'all chilling at the snack bar and joking around. You were getting ready to go downstairs when Rigby came in the room and said he needed to talk to you. Weird seeing how Rigby has never said that before. He said "Y/n don't say anything but I think Mordecai likes you" and you replied with "What?! You're crazy, there's no way in hell." He said "No you don't understand. He usually blushes and gets excited when he sees Margret, but today when we were with you at the coffee shop, it was almost like he was annoyed with her. Think about it Y/n. There's a possibility." You had never thought about it that way. When you put it in perspective, it actually made sense what Rigby was saying. You snapped out of your thoughts and said "I guess you're right Rigby, I never thought of it that way, thanks dude". He said "Always Y/n. No problemo" You giggled and jokingly punched him in the arm. Then you said "Welp I guess I should head downstairs now, thanks again dude". Then you walked out and downstairs. When you got down there Mordecai wasn't down there and you were confused. As you went to sit down on the couch he jumped out from behind the couch and scared the shit out of you. You screamed and said "Fuck you Mordecai you could have gave me a heart attack." He started laughing so hard that you started laughing to. He said "I'm sorry Y/n but that was hilarious". You flicked him off and sat down on the couch. He said "Hold on Im gonna go get the popcorn and soda" You said "okay" and just sat there waiting. He came back with a bowl of popcorn and some radi-cola. He sat it down on the table and sat down next to you on the couch. When he played the movie, the title read "The scariest movie ever made" You weren't ready for this. You actually somewhat liked scary movies but the jump scares got you every time. As you were watching the movie you got jump scared so bad that you jumped into Mordecais lap and hid your face in the crook of his neck. When you realized what you had done you felt hella embarrassed. You looked up while blushing and noticed he was blushing to. You said "I'm so sorry" and he said "Oh no it's cool" and he put his arms around you and you guys watched the rest of the movie just like that. After it was over you got up off of him and went upstairs with him following. Rigby was already asleep. You laid in your bed and Mordecai said "Goodnight Y/n, thanks for watching the movie with me" and you said goodnight back. You drifted off thinking about what Rigby said.
