Chapter 4: Bleeding

Brendan's POV:

After a dramatic time at the mall with Sophie I was walking down the hall feeling free until I heard a SMASH!

I ran towards the noise and saw Stephanie. I saw that she smashed the girl I saw in the parking lot in the locker.

I ran to her and grabbed her by the shirt and moved out of the way. I'm not supposed to hit a girl so I was stuck with just taking her away from the scene

"What do you want?" Stephanie said surprised that I grabbed her.
"What's going on?"
"I was having a decent talk with Lorin telling her about the school until this girl pulled me out of the way!"

I didn't believe a word she said.
She's known for lying.
"Just leave" I said with a serious face.
"Wow rude" she said as she walked away.

I ran towards the girl who I think her name is Coral to see if she was okay.

"You okay?" I kneeled down towards her.

She had a huge bump on her head and wait what? Is she bleeding?

I noticed that's she was bleeding at the top of her head. I think she hit the locker so hard that she may have cracked her head open.

I picked her up and ran to the nurses office.

The nurse called the ambulance and before I knew it she was at the hospital.

It has been a week since she hasn't been at school.

I don't know why I'm obsessing about a girl that the only conversation we had was "hi".

"Is something upsetting you?" I was startled by hearing the voice of Jason.

I really did not want to talk to Jason right now. Talking to him about a so called girl that's not popular was the least of my worries.

"What do you want Jason..."

"I know what happened. I know you have feelings for her."

"I do not so would you please leave or change the..." Jason cut me off.

"Don't act like you don't. You never interfere with fights. Especially for girls. What's on your mind?"

"I really don't..."

Jason puts his hands on my shoulders. "I'm proud of you."
He said as he walked away.

What did he mean 'I'm proud of you'? Does he want me to date her? She probably just thinks I'm a stuck up rich boy that is the coolest boy in school.

"Wow..."
I know that voice anywhere.

"Alexa!"

Alexa was my best friend when we were little but now we don't talk much.

"Nice little scene you had there."
She said with a smirk on her face.

"Why does it matter to you?" I said confused.

"Coral happens to be my best friend you know."

I was shocked by her words. She was Coral's best friend?

Maybe I can ask her things about her but I can't tell her the truth that I actually like her.

"It was really nice if you to help her out."

"How is she?" I said worried.

"She's fine. She'll be back in school in a couple weeks."

"That's a relief."

"Is there something between you two?" She said trying to snoop like usual.

I can't tell her. If she finds out I'm positive she tell her.

Alexa's POV:

There's Brendan! Now's my chance.

"Wow..." I didn't know what to say. Ummmm...

"Nice little scene you had there." I said hoping he knows what I was talking about."

"Why does it matter to you?" He said confused.

I shouldn't tell him this but I have to.

I've always had a crush on Brendan but I'm doing this for my best friend even though it's breaking my heart.

"She happens to be my friend you know." I hope he doesn't notice that I'm not about to go tears when I'm saying this.

"It's really nice that you helped her out."

That was true. I wasn't there at the time and for helping Coral out was really nice

This is why I have a crush on him.
