Y/N's pov ϟ
The next couple of days were the happiest I've ever been. Every second of my spare time was spent with Harry as we studied for the third task.
"Harry?" I whispered at him as he flipped through the textbooks in the library.
"Yeah?" He looked up from the book he was reading.
"Are you scared? For tomorrow?" I asked softly, my head resting on my hands.
"I'm not scared. Remember, I'm the chosen one," Harry said teasingly.
"I'll remember." I smiled at his stupid grin. "Can you promise me something?"
He rolled his eyes playfully before putting his face in front of mine.
"What is it?" He wiggled his eyebrows and it was my turn to roll my eyes.
"Promise me you'll make sure you stay safe. Don't do anything stupid."
He held out his pinky and I linked mine with his. "Okay. I promise."
I beamed as I turned back to my textbook. I only read a couple of lines before noticing out of the corner of my eye that Harry was staring at me.
I turned around to look at him. "What?"
"Nothing, you're just pretty."
I pretended to be annoyed as butterflies erupted inside my stomach. I couldn't hide the pink tint that was appearing on my cheeks.
"You like when I compliment you, huh?"
"Oh, shut it Harry. You need to read about these counter curses!"
He chucked as I mentally cursed myself for turning pink, turning back to my book.
"Okay, okay." I grinned at his tone before the both of us attempted to focus on the text. A couple minutes passed by before I stood up.
"I can't focus."
"Why? Am I too distracting?" Harry asked, a smirk on his face.
"You're too cocky for your own good, Potter," I said, crossing my arms playfully.
"Let's go. It's late," Harry took my hand as he motioned towards the clock that read 10:34pm. We quickly put back the books neatly.
"Where are we going?" I asked as he pulled me out of the library.
"Let's watch the stars."
Harry pulled me up to the Astronomy tower and we leaned against the railing, looking up at the sparkling sky.
"I wish I could pause time," I sighed happily, closing my eyes as the cool breeze hit my face. I opened them to see Harry staring at me.
"Why is it that every time I look at you, you're staring at me?" I teased.
"I'm trying to capture these moments inside my head." Harry pointed towards his brain. "So, I can rewatch them when I want to think of you."
"That's not how it works, Harry," I laughed before pulling him into a hug. My heart exploded as Harry snugged his head into the nook of my neck.
"Well, it works for me."
"Are you sure you don't have photographic memory?" I asked playfully.
"If I had photographic memory, I would beat Hermione in all of our classes."
I laughed at his comment, hugging him tighter.
"If I'm being honest, I'm quite scared for tomorrow," I admitted.
