chapter 8. the purpose of the fox child

I waited until I stopped by the Lair I was about to step out as the Bellhop stopped by "Ma'am?" Maxwell asked. I was scared for a second "what where you even thinking?! You can't interveine like this! Why are you even here?! The lady will be furious by now!" The bellhop said. He was really nervous and I could feel his anixiety "how is he doing?"I asked. "He just sent me away... A kid is badly injured... they got stepped by the guest Jürgen. He had to end this suffer" maxwell explained and pushed the switch "its better you'll leave him alone madame... he needs some time to think..." the bellhop said. We heared sudden noises as the elevator gone up. A noise wich sounded like crying and I could tell who was it by her more silent noise. On the corner sat eight, cured up and crying. "I think somebody needs it too" I said to the bellhop and picked the foxchild up. Maxwell got shocked "ma'am we have to bring the kid to the nursery right no-" Maxwell started as eight yelled at us "NO I DON'T WANNA GET BACK!!! I WANNA DIE" I was shocked. That kid was like nine and started to hate herself . "Easy kid... I am pretty sure you have a lot to live before you should even think this way"I said. The Bellhop was already annoyed as I made a conversation with a kid "well great..." he mumbled he layed his hand to his face "I am about to lose another family! Seven hangs around with six and my other friend is dying! And with the others I am not this close... " eight cried "sorry to hear that" I answered " I can't interact well with the other kids... " eight explained. I frowned. Eight reminded me much at me... I was not able to interact to people. How much I tried it ended up that they leave me out or I leave myself out of them. Since my bad experiences I never tried again closing a good frienship. "Look... lets go together to my quarters and you will explain everything about yourself... " I said "are you crazy?!" Maxwell asked " it will help her and it will help us... trust me" I said. The fox child noded "alright..." eight said. As I reached to the stop we three walked to my quarters. I began to paint in the twin chefs "so, I heared a bit that you got abadoned... is it true? " I asked the girl "yes... but..." eight started as she started crying. Maxwell listened to us talking "My mom was poor at the first place. Even worse. During she raised me she found out that she got cancer!" Eight explained. Me and the bellhop got shocked. "I am sorry to hear it" I said "it was hard to look at it. Once she realized she could not take care of me any longer she left me outside. My father was already death so she thought it was better to leave me to be a orphan on the street..."

Flashback:
The kid was at the street, watching her mother walking away. She was now on her own in the shores. She sat on the floor, curling up like a ball, crying because the mother did left her on her own. Eight had a bad life. She was looking for food. And once she found she had to defend it,proving that she won't let herself take down. The girl just found food and was about to eat it but then a cat attacked her and scratched her face. She did not have her mask yet. Eight fought against the cat and chased it away from the food ince she had proven her strenght. She got back to her food and ate it. She always had to mess with the other kids from the shores and often she did lost the fight. This was also why she was not able to interact with the other kids. One day as she was trying to hunt she got catched by someone who was a guest in the maw. "You little one will make me rich" the man said. The kid was in anixious. The man brought her to a ship where the Ferryman and the lady awaited him. The man first bowed to the lady he was willing to give the ferryman the scared kid. Wich this put her in a cage.the man got his payment and walked on his ways.
