chapter 10 the dephts

I made my way to the ferryman's quarters. He already stood on his place,growling at me. I looked at him "you wanna ask me things?" I asked "Fate, ma'am... youre the one I brought in here? " the ferryman introduced. I noded "I see you already got your transformations... " fate said and chuckled " you come from the radio tower?" He asked  I noded "obviously... my bad..." the ferryman stopped death for a while "I noticed you griefed after a living creature... bigger like you, dressed in black, blue eyes, brown hair" Fate sudden asked me. I growled "m fate chuckled after he realized how upset I got after I heared  him describing my crush "you must have a big trouble with him? " Fate asked me and took something out of his poket. It sas a picture of him. I drove mad "how... did you shot the  picture?..."I asked "right before we met I have seen hin with another girl" fate explained. During our chit chat roger came across our way. Fate saw him "YOU!!!" He sudden yelled. Roger jumped at the sound. The ferryman pushed me aside "YOU LET YOUR LITTLE CREATURES OUT AGAIN" he yelled and pressed the much smaller Janitor against a wall. "stop it! Do you really think he deserved it?!" I asked. "He is a mutant! They only learn in the hard way!" The Bellhop came across us  "just because he is a mutant he does not deserve this kind of treatment!" I said. The ferrymam came across me, pressing me against a wall both arms holding my wrist "what do you know about mutants? Nothing! So stay out of this!" The ferryman already threatend. He threw me out of the way, stepping on my back while he continued with Roger "sir, its unnecessairy to treat a woman like that" Maxwell said. Fate tutned to the bellhop  while Maxwell looked at Roger "roger please leave... I will do fine..." maxwell said "max..." roger said. I could not believe what I heared The ferryman letted me go. I walked to the bellhop "are you serious? He seems to be very violent" I asked "I fleed to often..." Maxwell answered "but-" "I can handle this" maxwell interrupted me. He bowed to roger " please bring her into the lair.... " maxwell said roger made a grunting noise and picked me up. He felt his ways to the elevator. I could hear the ferryman talking "you seem to be more brave now bellhop. But a mutant is a mutant... you should pay"

There we where... at the elevator. Roger looked in my direction in a questioning way. I felt like he was asking what the ferryman wanted from me "he asked me about my past place where I lived... " I answered uncomfortable. I knew exactly now what would happen but if the others knew? I was not sure. The Janitor sat me off. We came to the lairs. As we made out ways he started to talk " as long there is this rumpus up there  I should bring you to the nursery" he said. I sighed " I hope the bellhop will be ok... the ferryman seemed really brutal to you. I said "they will only have a little talk... I hope...Max is good at talking situations out" roger said
"I have a bad feeling about this.. " I said. As I made another step a wodden part of hole fell down as I tried another step all of the less hardly build floor fell down until it gets into a hole and I fell out of the room. I thought my life was over. But then I recognized the water and I turned while I fell my head at the front. And my arms at the back of my body. I fell in the water. I wondered why I survived. The water could have ripped me apart by now.

However. I was  about to breath after air until something grabbed my ankle. I had seen the face of the old woman in the dephts. She released me and I breathed after air once I reached the air. I swimmed to the land,taking off my mask to breath better. The old woman also known as the grannywent up either but she did not left the water. I reached after air "was it all necessairy?!" I asked "you fell into my home! How even did you came here? "The granny asked me. For all confusion I pointed at the roof "so you literally fell from the roof? Why are you even up in the lairs?" The granny asked me "the Janitor had to bring me to a save place... he must be worried sick by now... I am a newcomer by the way..." I said "oh you must be that burdy the Janitor mentioned me. I see you already became to one of us. " the granny answered "yes..." i said "roger was worried about your future." The old wonan said " Do you get often humans in the maw?" I asked "no.... you are the first after six generation of the maw" the granny answered. I wondered

"the maw knows their way... I saw it on my own eyes. Long ago as before everyone was even born... you see... we all come from the city where you can't even imagine it exist... so did our guests and the employees... each six generations of the maw comes one human out of our knowing by to be one of us.the human we had in our time had big wishes on their carrier but a horrible past. The ferryman had to look for them and collect them up. Last time the human was from  france. This time it must be another place..." the granny explainedm
I answered "poor lad... you choosed to be here.... are you doing good at least?" The granny asked. I noded. "I am a artist" I said "its good to have something you dreamed long time ago..." the granny said "but you had met a terrible fate... you will change even more then this " the granny said "I know.. but its not... a terrible fate.."
I answered. "You are a very determined girl... you should watch yourself... don't do anything wrong" the granny said.

I noded "got it..." the janior already climbed down into the dephts. He recognized my smell and the smell of the granny and growled "you shall watch her better!" The granny said. Roger was silent for a while "shut up you hag" he said  with his rusty voice "you know I am right... why did you wanted to bring  her to the lairs anyway? " granny asked. I felt like they where fighting like old married pairings as I listened to them "there is a fight on the ferryman's quarters... the Bellhop handles this already" roger explained "are you serious? The bellhop will be probably beaten up by fate" granny said "he wanted me to bring the artist! Away from it... and I am afraid... he wanted to make mistakes good" roger explained. I looked at the Janitor.  "What mistake?" I asked. "Aint really important... " roger stumbled  "it is!he is often this worried and now he is worrying me including YOU!" I said "OK FINE" roger yelled and breathed through "he left while I was almost killed by the ferryman" roger said "AND WE SHALL LEAVE HIM ALONE WHILE ....WHILE.... FATE HITS HIM!?" I yelled "don't yell at me, miss he wanted to protect you, because you got almos beaten up from him! Besides! He likes you" Roger said. I gasped at rigers last statement "ok that explains all... but we still need to check him out... I am not supposed to be down anyways" I said.  "It won't bother to leave... and you old man better watch out" the granny provoked "yeah sure" roger answer. We made our ways up again. We used the pipeways to climb to get at leadt back to the lair. I had a bad ferling and was so worried about maxwell. Otherwise I cannot make the ferryman regret what he might have done. Especially if he took my orders.
