I watched afar with my three other friends. As we quietly observed the adult newcomer. All the younger kids already seemed to be happy with Sister Krone's arrival, but that's to be expected since they are younger and tend to be more trusting to new people and they also don't know of our situation.
After Mom had put down Carol, she went off with Sister Krone to show her the room she would be staying in.
We looked up at the adult women from the stairs. "She's placed in a bad spot..." Ray stated. "The center of the three children's rooms..." "to make it easier to watch us..." the two women seemed to have noticed our presence and looked down at us from where they stood. We looked back up at them with an 'innocent Smile'
Evening came around, as the four of us stood in the house's library.
"I was so distracted by the tracking devices that I didn't think we would get another adult..." Norman worried as he had his head at the wall. "Actually we should be happy about this" Ray stated. "What? Be Happy?" Emma questioned "What Ray means is that now, with the addition of Carol and Sister Krone. We now have two new information banks that could be helpful to our escape plan" I explained slightly.
"I see..." Norman sighed in realization.
"First, where did those two come from?" Ray questioned. "Carol is Conny's replacement. So they're replenishing merchandise." Norman stated. "Yeah if this place is a farm, they must have a site where they prepare one year olds for replenishment" the raven haired boy added. "So did all of us come from there originally?" Emma questioned. "There is a high possibility of that" I answered.
"The introduction of Sister Krone..." "It's significant that there's another adult other than Mom. There might be other farms just like here, so are the adults who obey demons under the control of demons since birth or after they're captured? After we escape, things will change depending on that" What Norman said is right. We know there are more adults and if we escape they are certain to be quick enough to get us in our tracks.
"But first we need to figure out how to escape with everyone, and the location of the tracking devices" The ravenette said to put us in a first direction. "I searched all over my body, but I didn't find any traces of something implanted." Emma said while she patted her body again. "And nothing in our clothes and shoes." The platinum haired boy added.
"Based on humankind's existing technology, it probably uses radio waves. But that requires batteries. Something really small that wouldn't leave a scar and with batteries that last over 10 years. That kind of product wouldn't exist in 2015." Ray informed. "Meaning?" " it'll be difficult to predict the mechanism, find location, and figure out how to break it. And we might as well give up if it's technology originating from the demons." "True" "What?! So, Checkmate?..." "yup." "No Way!" Emma bursted.
"Though I feel like it might be a possibility that The technology used to track us, wouldn't originate from the demons. I mean think about it. We're only 11 and yet we already know a whole lot about trackers and i'm certain there are two specific children here, Ehem! that means you, Norman and Ray, that already pretty much know how to build one. So wouldn't it just be tedious if they thought these guardians some thing that they already know but in a different format?" I explained. "Exactly! Even if we can't figure it out, we can guess!" Norman agreed. "Yeah. We have to think from our enemy's point of view. Where and what kind of device would be The most convenient to implant?" Ray questioned as we all went silent, pondering....
"Carol!"
Norman yelled out. "Since she just arrived, she might have one." "Ah! A mark from implanting the tracking device!" Emma yelled out.
"Me and Emma will go check the nursery. And report back to you two if we find anything." I told the two boys. "Alright be careful you two." Norman said as me and Emma walked out of the library.
We decided to bring Gilda along with us so it wouldn't be as suspicious since I'm certain mom is already onto us...
Gilda was holding a lantern while me and Emma patted down Carol. Her soft giggles coming out from the constant touching and patting over her body. All the other babies were asleep so we had to be quick. Especially with the possibility of Carol getting tired of the touching and end up crying and waking the other babies that would soon alarm Mom, after Emma finished patting Carol's whole body with no luck of finding a mark, I dressed her into the baby sized uniform that everyone has. I picked Carol up after changing her into the uniform. "Think from the enemy's point of view...Demons won't eat the tracking device that means it'll be in a place where it's easily removed" Emma mumbled.
I was running my hands through the small, soft amount of hair that Carol has and I felt a small bump behind her left ear. I rubbed my finger over it, making sure it wasn't just some hairs. I folded her ear back and saw a small red bump. "Emma I wanted to ask you something. That night..." Gilda said trying to get the ginger's attention but Emma didn't seem to notice as she was in a train of though. "Emma! Look!" I laid Carol down as I then tiled her head to the right and folded back her left ear. "What's that? a bug bite?" Gilda questioned as she had come closer to see what I wanted them to see. "Mom told me a while ago that this was from when blood was drawn to test for diseases" Emma informed. " Naila, Phil, Mark, and Conny all had it! On everyone's ear" Emma exclaimed "Yeah, i've been with Dominic the most since he arrived back when he was one as well and I do remember him having one and after a while it faded." I told the two.
I walked around the small cribs as I could hear the two other girls conversing, as Gilda questioned if she still had it and Emma was telling her that it's not there. I looked at all the one year olds and checked their left ears, "hey! You two I checked the other one year olds. They all have a small bump as well but they're already pretty much fading" I got closer to Carol's crib as she started cooing louder. She had tightened her grip on me and Emma's pointer fingers. "We have to protect these kids..." Emma stated as I nodded in agreement
