RING~ RING~ RING~
(Y/N) groaned as she reached her right arm out to stop her alarm. She lied in her warm, soft bed and let her vision adjust to the A.M. sun shining through her bedroom window.
"Come on (Y/N), first day of school!" Her father cracked open the females bedroom door.
(Y/N) huffed and crawled out of bed. She made her way to the bathroom and did her morning routine. (Y/N) slipped on a white T-shirt bodysuit, and placed her black and white checkered skirt over that. Zipped it up, and threw on her white Vans. She straightened her long, dark brown hair, and applied light, natural makeup.
Checking herself in the mirror one last time, she walked to the kitchen.
"Our little girl is all grown up!"
"Bri, it's the first day of 8th grade...I'm not grown up." (Y/N) stated.
"Whatever, I wanna get a picture with you both before you leave! Come on!"
(Y/N) and her older brother - Garron - made their way to the living room.
"Everybody say, "First Day of School!""
Flash.
"Or not." Bri said, looking down at her phone to review the picture. "Good enough, okay I'll see you later!"
"Bye~" (Y/N) and Garron mumbled in unison as they packed out the door.
Their bus stop was 2 blocks from their house. There was a warm and cool breeze flowing.
The two siblings walked side by side."Freshmen year, ey?" (Y/N) bumped Garron's arm with her elbow.
"Boring." He answered.
"Just get through it, it's better than being at home. No parents yelling at you for shit you didn't do."
"No but teachers yelling at you for shit you didn't do." Garron glanced at his younger sister.
"Touché."
(Y/N) and Garron have always been close. They were only a year and a half apart. Garron was born in October of 2004. (Y/N) being born in February of 2006. They had a younger sister - Gwen. Gwen was 3 years younger than (Y/N), being born in May of 2009.
They have the same birth mother and father. The mother left when (Y/N) was young. She remembers her father and mother calling all 3 of them downstairs into the living room; to discuss the divorce. The only reason they got married was because of Garron. They weren't expecting, it just happened. Her mother was younger than her father by a few years.
She was a druggie. A whore. A slut. You name it. She stole money for drugs. Left the father to take care of 3 children on his own. Of course he didn't tell the children until much later.
At least two of the children..
"You going to moms this weekend?" Garron kept his head straight as he asked the question.
"I don't know, is Gwen?" (Y/N) answered.
"Of course she is. She loves her."
"Then yes. I can't let her go alone."
"I get it." Garron grasped his straps on his backpack.
