(Y/N) finally woke up from being on  anesthesia. Everything was groggy and hard to remember - I guess that is how the drug works.

"We got the X-rays back. There are 2 bones in each elbow that are broken off. They are just kind of floating around right now. That means we will need to do surgery as soon as possible."

'yay.'

"We have emptied a room for you. You can all go stay up there for the time being. We aren't positive when we will be able to fit her on the board. With that said, you may be here for a while." After the surgeon completed his speech, he left the room.

October 16, 10 p.m.

The entire day has passed. (Y/N) had nothing to do. She hadn't taken a sip of water since last night before practice. Nurses would stop in every now and then to pump fluids through her 4 IV's. Yes, 4. One in each of her hands, and in the side of her ankles. They couldn't stick them in the crease of her arm, obviously, so they compromised.

"When can I leave?" (Y/N) kept her eyes on the TV that was currently streaming, 'Frozen'.

"We don't even know when you are going to get your surgery yet." Bri answered.

A few minutes passed and the doctor walks in.

"Hello, how are we?" He said flipping through his binder. "It's pretty late so, I'll make this quick. We have (Y/N) scheduled to go on with the surgery tomorrow morning around 11."

"Then I can go home...?" (Y/N) turned her head to the herd of doctors and nurses.

"Well, we will have to keep you for a little while after, to make sure nothing went wrong."

(Y/N) turned her head back towards the TV.

"One more thing. You will not be able to do gymnastics again. You can't hyper-extend your elbows. We are putting screws and bolts in, they will not be able to hold the impact of all your body weight." He finished, and left.

The room was silent. No one spoke of it.

It's an hour passed 11. (Y/N) was supposed to go in for surgery at 11.

"Where are they?" (Y/N) asked.

"I don't know, just wait for them to come in."

12:07 p.m.

"Good afternoon! Sorry we are late, we were held up in the OR. Ready?" The surgeon passed a clipboard to the Nurse beside him.

"Mhmm." (Y/N) answered.

January 2020

"Look who finally decides to come to school!" Mr. Thimons teased (Y/N) as she walked in her first period.

She's back.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." She answered as she made her way to her desk.

The surgery went well. She had to wear 2 casts for two weeks, then she went back to get another set of X-rays, and her casts removed. Now she had to wear braces on each arm.

Uncomfortable as hell.

She couldn't straighten her arms. She attended physical therapy 2 times a week, for a month. It's her first day back since October.
