On a bright sunny day, with a little breeze in the air. Not one cloud was in the sky above, it looked to be a good day to Esmeralda.
She stood by her window in her bedroom looking up at the sky.
In the corner of her eye she watched Zoe getting into Keith's buggy, Both kids had planned a fun-filled day to spend together as they went into town on their day off.
Esmeralda had convinced her daughter to spend the day with Keith and that she would be alright at home doing her things around the home, She had her reason to get Zoe out of the house and that reason was that she had gotten word from one of the Kings trusted men that Elijah was back from Rose City and was staying these past few days in his office in the command post.
Turning herself around no longer looking outside, watching the kids getting ready to take off she heads towards her nightstand to prepare to fix herself over.
Esmeralda looked herself over in the dresser mirror fixing her hair that was placed in a bun over top of her head.
After fixing her hair she smoothes out her blue long sleeve cotton dress that she would only wear on special occasions like today.

Finally, she was done and ready to set off for her day.
Leaving her bedroom and walking out her front door.
The buggy was on the side of the house ready for her to sit off, all she needed to do now was to go down to the barn to grab the horse that Zoe had bought her after someone had stolen her favourite donkey a while back.
She was a wonderful kid always looking out for her mother she thought.
A couple of hours later
Esmeralda was standing in front of the gates to the command post.
Two guards were standing there keeping watch.
"Hello, young men (she gives them a sweet smile) I was wondering if your Commander was here?" She asked looking up at the two tall guards.
Normally they wouldn't give that information out but the one guard could tell that the old lady in front of him wouldn't cause any harm so he said" Yes he is mama. Is there a reason why you're asking for him?"
"I'm here to see him actually can you please inform him that Esmeralda is here to greet him and to ask for a little of his time."
The same guard who answered her from before answered her again, "Alright Mama I'll go see if he is not busy, please stay right here." And that's what he did he went to inform his Commander that a little old lady by the name of Esmeralda was here to meet with him.
"Sir there is a woman here by the name of Esmeralda who would like to see you."
Elijah was very surprised by what his guard had said to him.
