"Yes, you're here," Amanda says as I enter through the employee door to the kitchen. I had the day shift today meaning she could go home.

"Yep and ready to work," I replied, putting on my red-checkered apron over my jeans and crop top. "Good, Anna has all the left side tables so your taking mine on the right. Oh, also Lucas has the night switch so your switching with him later," she says as I nod my head.

"Hey Bernie what can I get for you today," I asked

"Hey Bernie what can I get for you today," I asked. I ready knew he was gonna ask for his usual so I didn't bother to get out my notepad to write it done. In this small town, like this, I don't even use my notepad that much. That's one of my favorite things about this time. The environment here was like a family everyone knew each other and was ready to help each other.

"I just have my usual Ness," he says as I just smile. "Is there anything else you want with that?" I question before going to tell Brink the orders.

"Nope, that will be all thanks," he says as I grab his menu. " Thank you too," I say walking back to the kitchen to give Brink the order. Brink was the main cook at the diner and one of the nicest people I have ever met.

I walk through the door seeing Brink and Laura cooking up other people's orders. "Bernie wants the usual. Hamburger side of fries with a strawberry milkshake," I tell Brink as he looks up from his Burgers to me.

"Bernie's here again. How many times a week does that man came here," He says shaking his head as he flips the patties on the grill. I just laugh at him.

"Well, who wouldn't come here all the time with your amazing food," I compliment grabbing table seven's orders. Caitlyn Oak and her two kids George and Hannah were with sat at the table. I grabbed all their food balancing it on my arms.

"True that my food is the best," he declares, making me laugh as I exit the kitchen heading to table seven.

"Welcome to Johnny's Diner. I am Nessa and I will be your server for today," I greet the customers, not looking up. I was too busy getting my notepad to look at them. Rex, the host who seated everyone had warned me there were newbies to the town and a table of four, so I was distracted by getting my notebook out.

"Nessa?" I hear a male voice say. I was shocked when I looked up to see Josh and Callie with a guy and a girl at the table.

"Ness," Callie jumping off her seat and running to me she wraps her arms around my legs. I was so short that the three-year-old was already at my waist.

"Hey, Cassie. I missed you," I say, kneeling to hug the three-year-old. She smiled, before jumping into my arms. I laughed before placing her back down next to Josh and his friends.

"You must be Nessa. Cassie could not stop not talking about you after we left the beach," a girl with long brown hair and beautiful brown eyes said.

"Neither could Josh," the guy who had his arm wrapped around her butted in. He had a cheeky smile on his face, while he said the remark. Judging by the way he had his arms wrapped around the girl, he was her boyfriend.

"Yeah, I'm Nessa," I responded ignoring the remark the guy made. I did notice Josh kick him under the table as he winced, making me laugh a little bit.

"Well it nice to meet you, Nessa. I'm Addison this is Bryce and you know Josh and Callie," she introduces herself as I smile.

I picked up the check from the table seeing a note on it that confused me. Maybe they dropped something. Josh, Callie, Addison, and Bryce had left just left.

Funny how we ran into each other again. How bout the next time we see each other let's make it not a coincidence. Here's my number
**********     -Josh

I smiled reading the note before taking out my phone in putting in the contact. I was defined as planning on taking him up on that offer.
