Chapter 5

Rose POV

We got down to dinner and I saw a table full of people they all had the same brown hair as Dimitri as well as the eyes. I looked at Dimitri and he got the message to introduced them to me.

- Right well Roza you already meat Mama, Olena and these are my big sisters, Karolina and Sonja, this is my little sister, Viktoria, this is my babushka(grandmother), Yeva, this is my nephew, Paul and this is my niece, Zoya.

- Well you have a big family full of lovely ladies as I can see, I said.

- Well don't just stand there and eat before it gets cold, told Olena to everyone.

We all ate and I got an interesting question from Viktoria.

- So are you and Dimka dating? she asked.

I almost chocked on my food, I had a mouthful and I just wanted to laugh so badly at that comment. Viktoria looked at me with a questioning frown an her face. Once I regained myself I said.

- No me and your brother aren't dating but I guess he hasn't told you I'm here right Comrade? I asked looking at him.

He just looked down at his plate.

- Well Comrade I ain't telling them the reason so you might as well tell them before your mother rips your pretty little head off.

He looked flustered and all his sister were laughing his mother seemed to be getting impatient.

- She's my new bodyguard, he whispered.

- Comrade nobody heard that.

- Fine she's my new bodyguard, he said raising his head and looking at me.

- Wait why do you need a bodyguard? asked Katrina.

- I see Comrade over didn't keep you up to date am I right? I questioned looking at Dimitri.

Dimitri finally let it all out he told them about the letter and for how long it was going on, his mother chastised him for not telling them about it. While all the grown-ups were arguing I turned to Paul who was sitting next to me.

- Are they always like that? I asked him.

- No usually dinner is pretty calm. But I do have a question for you.

- Shot little man.

- Why do you and uncle Dimka look so comfortable around each other like you've known him for a long time?

- That Paul is because your uncle and I used to train every morning when we were in high school.

- Oh now it makes more sense.

- Now if you'll excuse me I will save your uncle from his sisters, mother and babushka.

I turned around, put my fingers to my mouth and whistled as loud as I could. Every body turned to me.

- Thank you now I'm going to guess but I think Dimitri over here didn't tell you because he knew you would worry am I right Comrade, he nodded, good now little Paul over here told that usually dinner are very calm in this house. I'm actually having a hard time believing that because for as long as I've known Dimitri he would never shut up when we hanged out together.

- Wait backup, said Viktoria, you know my brother.

- Yes I do and Dimitri I'm hurt you never told them about me.
