Chapter 4

Rose POV

 We got in the car and his driver drove off I looked one last time out the window to see them one last time, after that we took a turn and I didn't know when will be the next time I'll see those guys. It was dead silence in the car for thirty minutes.

- Do you play the guitar? asked Dimitri.

- No I just brought with me for fun, I answered sarcastically, of cours I play the guitar why would you think I brought it.

- Sorry you just didn't seem like the type of girl who would play the guitar do you sing also?

- Yes I do sing and since when is there a type of girl who plays the guitar?

- It's just when we were in high school you never mentioned you played any instruments.

-  You never asked so I never told you simple as that and for your information I've been playing it since I was ten.

- Could you maybe sing something when we get to my place?

- Not this time Comrade I only sing in front of people I trust  and the only person I trust is Lissa.

- Fine but if I do earn your thrust will you sing for me?

- Sure if you manage too earn it.

And with that we went into a comfortable silence like old times. We made chitchat till we were at his house let me rephrase that his damn mansion it was huge.

I got out of the car and just stared at the beautiful house it maybe enormous but it still had a feeling of warmth. Dimitri snapped me out of my thoughts when he asked.

- Are you just going to stand there and stare or are you going to come in?

- Sorry if I'm not used to seeing a house or mansion whatever you want to call it.

- Let's get in so you can meet my family.

We started walking towards the door but when he said his family I stopped dead in my tracks. Let's just say I don't have the best parents, my parents used to hit me when I didn't bring home money or when they didn't like what I did for dinner the only reason I got a chance at being an FBI agent is because I ran away at eighteen I haven't talked or seen my parents in 6 years since I'm 25. Dimitri never knew even when we used to train together because I put make up on the bruises even Lissa never knew that part of my life and I haven't even told her that I ran away she still thinks I've been living with my parents until I was twenty-one. I never got the courage to tell her the truth.

- Rose? Roza? Dimitri was shaking me by my shoulders and he looked worried.

- Sorry Comrade I just didn't expect your family to be living here.

- It's fine but I know there's something you're not telling me and I'll find out.

- Sure keep telling yourself that I'm sure you'll figure it out, I said sarcastically.

We started walking again and we got in the house.

- Mama we're here!

Than a woman who I guessed was his mother came into the room hugged than kissed him on the cheek. She than looked at me with curious eyes after that weird looked she hugged me too I wasn't used to being hugged by anyone and I stiffened, my parents never showed affection the closest thing to a hug I ever got is when they picked me up after they belted me so they could wipe the blood of the floor. And of course both Dimitri and his mother noticed my reaction. Than he asked the question I dreaded the most.

- Why did you stiffened when mama Olena hugged you?

- I... I... I'm sorry I need some air, I ran out the door and kept running I never trusted anyone with my secret not even my best friends/sister/brother. I heard footsteps behind me and reflects kicked in I grabbed my gun from my belt and pointed at the person who was coming towards me. I than noticed it was Dimitri and Olena and put my gun away.

- Look I know you're just trying to be nice but I will explain it once and that is going to be when your whole family will be there and having Lissa, Mason and Eddie on a video call, I told them and they nodded.

Dimitri came over and asked me if I wanted to go back in the house I nodded. Once in the house I told Dimitri if he wanted me to tell them the reason I could do it after dinner. He agreed and I gave him Lissa's, Eddie's and Mason's phone numbers so he could arrange the video call for after dinner. He took the phone numbers and showed me to my room I gasped it was so beautiful.

My bags were already there and Dimitri went to leave but I called out to him and he turned around.

- It's good to see you Comrade and thank you for everything...

- No problem Roza but why do I have the feeling there's is going to be a but?

- Because there is and here it is. If after what you will learn tonight after dinner you don't want me to the job I will understand and I will not blame you.

- What can be so bad that I wouldn't want you to do your job?

- You'll see, I said tears threatening to spill.

Before I knew it he was hugging me and I had the exact same reactions that I had with Olena.

- I'm sorry I didn't mean to, he said apagogically his Russian accents getting heavier with embarrassment.

- It's okay you'll understand later, I think...

- Well I'll leave to your unpacking I'll come get you for dinner and organize the video call for later.

And with that he left I started unpacking, about an hour later I was done and Dimitri came to get me for dinner. Well some secrets are about to get out.
