Chapter 21

These are thoughts

Mizuki pov.
The teams walk over to their benches.

"What's with the timeout?" Hinata asks.

Keishin looks at me, and I sigh.

"We need to push ahead, get more points. I'm not saying that we should rush it, but we should at least get a lead."

"How do we do that?" Tsukishima asks.

"Sho, Kags," I say as I turn to them. "Let's try that thing from practice. I'll tell you when."

"Ok!"

I turn to everybody.

"I'll be calling sets now too. You guys are doing amazing already. Keep doing what you're doing.

"This won't mean that were gonna win this set, but let's try to push a bit ahead."

They nod, and then timeout is over. I walk to Kageyama.

"Hey Kags?"

"Ya?"

"Remember how high Suga set for me before?"

He nods.

"K, when I call a set, just do a regular height one. But when I say 'high' do the high set."

"Ok."

"Thanks!"

Kageyama gets to ball, and serves. Number 6 receives the ball, Kenma sets it to Kuroo, and he spikes it.

Daichi receives it, and it goes to Kageyama.

Not this one not yet.

He sets it to Asahi, and he gets a point.

But their libero almost got that... he's getting used to the spike.

Kageyama gets the ball again.

Mohawk receives it, Kenma sets it to Kuroo again and he spikes it.

Nishinoya receives it and it goes to Kageyama. He sets it to Hinata, but he gets blocked. Nekoma gets a point.

Dammit.

"Kags, Sho! This one!" I call them when Nekpma gets the ball.

They nod.

We get into position, and their number 7 serves.

Nishinoya receives it and it goes to Kageyama.

Then, Hinata and I run to the opposite sides. We both jump in the air at the same time.

Number 7 looks confused... the blockers are hesitant too... hehehe

Kageyama sets it into Hinata's hand, and he spikes it down. We get a point.

"Yes!" Hinata and Kageyama yell.

I walk back to my spot.

"Nice job! We won't do it again though. After this one." I say.

"Ok." They respond.

The match keeps going.

But then, Nekoma goes in the lead.

15-17, Nekoma

I guess I have to do a high one.

I sigh as Mohawk gets the ball. He serves, and Nishinoya receives it.

When the ball is in the air, I call Kageyama.

"Kags, high!"

He's shocked for a split second, and then sets to me.

The ball goes really high, higher than Suga's before. Nekoma watches the ball.

I run up to it, and I jump as high as I can to reach the ball. My whole upper body was basically above the net.

I'm above the blockers, and I quickly aim to where I'll spike.

Right at the back line.

I hit it half strength, and it flies past the players on Nekoma and on the line.

It's in.

I gracefully land on the ground and smile.

That felt amazing. That feeling from getting that spike in...I miss it...

I smile and look at the team.

I want to play with this team. They're amazing, and fun. I want to help them win. I want to play. I want to stand on the court.

Keishin pov.
Mizuki turns to us.

She has the biggest smile I've ever seen in years, and her eyes were sparkling like the moon.

She looks directly at me.

"I wanna keep play volleyball." She says.  

She runs to me and tackles me with a hug.

"I wanna keep playing again." She says into my shoulder.

"That's great Zuki," I say to her, smiling.

The team come up to us, surprised to see Mizuki this happy.

She let's go of me, and turns to the team.

"I'm gonna play volleyball again. I'm gonna stand on the court, and win matches. I'm gonna fly again." She says to them.

The team is shocked, but then they smile.

They congratulate Zuki.

I'm so happy, Mizuki... you have no idea

Kuroo pov.
My whole team stood there in shock. Coach too.

She jumped so high... she was basically above the net!

And the spike was really powerful, and she also had full control of where it goes...

I was one of the people blocking her, so I saw her jump up close.

You could literally see her upper body above the block.

That was amazing...

"Hey Kuroo..." Kenma says to me, as he walks up to me.

"Do you think she is..."

I nod.

"I think so. I'll ask."

I turn to Mizuki, who was being congratulated and praised by her team.

"Hey Zuki!" I call her.

She turns and looks at me.

"Ya?"

"Are you the Falcon?"

Mizuki pov.
The team freezes.

I smile and I walk up to them, surprising the whole team.

I'm not gonna hide. Because I'm no longer that person anymore.

"No. I'm not the Falcon. Not anymore."

I turn to my team. They nod.

I turn back to Kuroo.

"I'm a crow now."
