Dear Diary,
Things have gotten progressively worse.
I had to quit my job today... well, more like I was fired because I didn't recognize my boss. I had forgotten my boss was new since my old boss passed away and his nephew had to take over. When my boss saw my current state, he deemed me unfit for the job and let me go.
I was pretty bummed out so Oikawa tried cheering me up by showing me photos, he said maybe they'd help refresh my memory.
"Do you remember this place?" he asked, showing me a photo of a beach. "You do, right? It means a lot to us."
I pursed my lips nervously as I continued to stare at the photo in his hand before shaking my head. "No, sorry, I don't actually..."
The smile on his face morphed into a frown. He blinked at me a couple of times. "Y/N, you don't remember? This place is very special to me— to us."
"I'm sorry, Tooru, but I really don't know that place," I whispered, afraid I was going to upset him even more.
"Y/N, this is the place where we had our first kiss," he said, hurt flashing in his eyes. "It's also where I asked you to be my girlfriend."
I was dumbfounded when he said that.
My heart wrenched with guilt as I watched him sigh and wordlessly stuff the photos back into a box.
Tears welled up in my eyes. "I'm sorry, Tooru..."
He glanced back at me and grasped my hand. "Hey, it's okay. We'll get through this together."
I nodded tearfully as he pulled me to a hug, resting his chin on my head while I buried my face in his chest.
"Besides," he spoke up after moment of silence. "If you do forget me—"
"I won't, Tooru," I cut him off. "I've already forgotten so much, I'm not going to forget you too. I won't allow it."
He chuckled at my words, placing a kiss on my forehead. "Alright, Y/N—"
"I'm serious!" I told him and he laughed even more.
"Yeah, yeah, okay. Now can I continue?" he asked and I nodded in response. "Alright. I'm just saying that if you do forget about me, then I'll just make you fall in love with me all over again."
I snorted a laugh. "You think you can do it?"
"Oh, definitely," he said with a smug smirk.
I held out my pinky. "Promise?"
Oikawa smiled and intertwined our pinkies together. "Promise," he said softly, placing a kiss on my knuckles.
