Holden leaned against the door watching his brothers. "History is repeating itself once again." He said. "Elena looks like Katherine, Damon is giving you hell like promised and your with Elena because she looks like Katherine."

"That's not the reason." Stefan said.

"Really?" Holden questioned him. "Do you see me chasing after the look alike? No. Well, let's see why history is repeating."

Damon looked at his brother waiting for a response. "You may love Elena now, but sooner or later she will play both of ya'll because she will start falling for the other soon. Katherine did you both like that and all I did was watched. I'm not letting it happen again or so help me that I will kill both of you."

Damon and Stefan watched as Holden left. Nothing was said as Holden left. Stefan wasn't going to let history repeat its self. Not this time.

Catherine walked downstairs as she heard her sister talking to their mother. "I am working that day." She heard as she got closer.

"Of course." Caroline said. "Never time with your daughters."

Catherine just stayed quiet as she watched. She was going to speak to her mother, but seeing as she was dressed for work, the blonde looked at them and sighed. "I'm going to hang out with Elena or Bonnie."

"No. You need to find a dress for the ball." Caroline said.

Catherine groaned as she just wanted a day without having to worry about something. The blonde just walked out the door as she didn't have nothing to say to them. She rather just find her dress and talk to Holden.

Catherine looked at each dress thinking about how normal her life would have been if her mother didn't drown herself in work because of her father's choice. The blonde smiled as she found a beautiful blue dress. Catherine walked into a changing room and started to try on the dress.

She knew she would have to call and ask Holden. She grabbed the dress and walked off to pay for it, but she was dialing Holden's number. "Hey, can you come by?" She asked as she paid for the dress. "I need to ask you something."

When Holden arrived, him and Catherine were in a heated make out session. Holden felt his face change making him pull away. "What's wrong?" Catherine asked.

"Nothing." He tells her as he kissed her again.

"Holden...." she said as he kissed her neck. "I-I...can you stop?" She asked laughing. "I'm trying to ask you something."

"I'm all ears." He tells her.

"I was hoping that you would escort me to the founders ball." She tells him.

"Of course." He replies. "I'm going to get home and get ready. I'll see you later."

Catherine smiled as he kissed her. "Bye."

Once he was out of her room, Catherine laid back on her bed laughing. She can finally admit it. She's in love with Holden Salvatore.

Later that day, Catherine and Holden arrived at the ball. They smiled as they walked in, but never saw Liz staring at them. Catherine smiled as he kissed her before walking to go get them a drink. "Catherine."

"Mom." Catherine said as she faced her. "Hi."

"Why are you with Holden?"

"We've been dating for awhile now." Catherine says. "Why?"

"I never knew."

Catherine watched her mom walk away and sigh. "Because work is more important than your own daughters."

"Catherine?"

The blonde turned and walked over to him. She hugged him as he held her. "Here." He said as he pulled back to hand her a drink. "What happened?" He asked already knowing she was upset from the conversation with her mom, but he wanted to hear it from her.

"She didn't know about us." Catherine said as she took a drink. "She is more worried about work than her own daughters."

Holden placed his glass down with hers. "You have me." Holden tells her as he started to dance with her.

Catherine smiled as she only needed two people. Her sister and Holden. Holden smiled as Catherine was smiling again. The two shared a kiss when they heard someone clear their throat. The two separated to see Elena. "Catherine, Damon has been hurting Caroline and I think she'll talk to you more."

Catherine didn't think for a second as she ran off. Holden glared. "If anything happens to her, I will make sure Stefan doesn't see you again."

Elena gulped as Holden walked away she turned and saw Stefan.

"Caroline?" She called out as she walked down the hall to see Damon. "Where's my sister?"

"I don't know." Damon said as he walked over to Catherine. "But you'll do."

Catherine screamed as she went to run just for him to stop in front of her. "Please don't."

"Sorry, Cat." He said as he sunk his fangs into her.

Catherine screamed just for Holden to appear. He grabbed Damon and pulled him away from Catherine before he snapped Damon's neck. "Holden?"

Holden looked to see Catherine bleeding and went to her. "I'm so sorry you had to find out this way."

"What are you?" She asked.

Holden sighed. "A vampire."

Catherine hugged him as she was more scared of Damon than she was Holden. "Can you take me home."

"Of course, but first..." he said as he bit his wrist. "Drink and your neck will heal."

Catherine nodded as she took his wrist and placed her mouth on his wrist. Holden held her close as she drank his blood. Stefan walked over to them and looked at Damon. "Get her home."

"Come on." Holden said as she pulled back and nodded. "I'll keep you safe."

"I know you will."
