Cain's POV

It's been two hours, Ava is still inside the ICU. They're still testing her if she has any other injuries, and they're also checking our baby.

"Cain..."

I turned my back. I saw Mrs. Anderson, she's carrying Cortis. He's awake. Mr. Anderson just arrived Mrs. Mendes.

"How's Brianna?" -Mrs. Mendes.

"She's still inside." I said.

I went to Ava's mom and carried Cortis. I laid his head on my chest as I carefully carry him.

"How's Rebecca?" I asked.

"She's stable now. Noah transferred her to another hospital. " -Mr. Anderson.

"Colt and Zeilyn are gonna make sure the two of them won't bother us again."- Mrs. Mendes.

"We'll talk to Rebecca when she's fine. " -Mrs. Anderson.

"Mr. Marquis?" The doctor called.

"How's my wife, Doc?" I asked.

"She's fine now. Congratulations, she's already four weeks pregnant. Please, take care of her, she shouldn't be stressing out. It's not good for the baby. Also, just assist her since the bruises on her body is still healing. "

"I will Doc, can I see her now?" I answered.

"Yes, we're just transferring her to her private room. You can just go to her room after 10 mins. "

"Okay, thank you Doc." I said.

The two doors just opened, the nurses are pushing Ava's bed carefully. She's still unconscious.

I saw Cortis crying while Ava was passing in front of us.

"Shhhh, mommy's okay. Don't worry." I said.

"I'll take him first." -Mrs. Mendes.

"Yes, thank you." I said. She went towards me and carried Cortis.

"I'll just finish filling up Ava's form. I'll take care of the bill." I said.

"Okay, we're gonna wait outside her room."

I started to walk and headed towards the cashier.

Ava's POV

"Hmm..."

Sobrang bigat ng pakiramdam ko. Dahan dahan kong minulat yung eyes ko---

I saw my mom.

"Bri..." Tawag ni dad.

Agad itong lumapit sakin at niyakap ko. Masakit pa yung right shoulder ko dahil sa mga pasa.

Lumapit rin si dad at hinalikan ako sa noo.

"Thank God you're awake." Sabi ni mommy.

"W-where's Cain and Cortis?" Nanghihina kong sabi.

"He's here..." Lola said.

I can't help but to cry. I missed my Cortis so much.

Dahan dahang inalalayan ni lola si Cortis na mahiga sa dibdib ko. Maingat ko naman itong kinarga.

"Hi, did you missed mommy?" I asked with tears on my face.

"I missed you so so much." Lumapit ako rito at hinalikan sa noo.
