5. You (Again)

They got to the 8th floor, Miss Kim kept her silence, but she slowed down her pace so Lisa could walk by her side, "I didn't know you had a bike" she said, Lisa smiled and nodded "Yes I always wanted one so I saved money for a while, till I got enough to get it, it feels amazing, maybe I'm crazy", Jennie looked at Lisa and said "You are crazy Manoban, come on, follow me, you are too slow", Lisa saw her smirking lightly.

They got to Mr. James Office, she didn't knocked, she just opened the door and stormed inside, he got up quickly, he seemed really intimidated and startled, "James she is Lalisa Manoban, your new assistant, she will start today, make sure to explain everything to her", she really sounded so dominant and he nodded but remained quiet, Lisa bowed down to him but was called by the CEO "Manoban, follow me, enough bowing for today, seriously stop" she said.

They entered to another office, "This one is your new office, feel free to decorate it as you like, make sure James do all his tasks, he kinda tends to procrastinate, and I hate that Manoban", Lisa nodded, she walked around the office, like she wanted to tell her something, she got serious and then smiled at Lisa, the latter smiled back and bowed down "Thank you very much Miss Kim", she rolled her eyes to her, nodded and walked away.

By then Lisa was wondering if Jennie Kim smiles to everyone, it doesn't seem like that, she didn't know why, but the fact that Kim was smiling at her made her really happy.

Mr. James came in, he seemed nervous like if he was about to get scolded or something, "Miss Manoban, come to my office, we need to check the schedule for the week", Lisa nodded, "Sure, let's check it, by the way please call me Lisa", he agreed and they went to his office, he explained all the things they had to do, it seemed easy, since she has been doing all that since she started this career, so Lisa didn't have any trouble.

They would have a meeting and they only had 2 hours to get ready, he told to Lisa that it was really important to focus on this, or both would get in troubles.

Jennie Kim went back to her floor, when she got into the elevator she couldn't help but smile widely, she didn't know why, she was just very happy, when the door opened, she put her poker face on and went straight to her office, once she was there she checked the agenda, she had two hours till her first meeting, so she could check some reports and sign some documents, she went to her chair and sat there, and again she saw what Lisa left in her desk, coffee, macarons, and that little cute note, this was the reason behind her smile, nobody did this for her before, nobody made her feel safe before either, she was just lost in her thoughts when her door was opened, "Jendukie!", It was Jisoo, her cousin, best friend, one of the powerful chiefs, the CFO, the other Kim that would take care of the business.

Jennie rolled her eyes "I told you to don't call me like that at work Jisoo unnie, it's embarrassing", Jisoo laughed and sat on Jennie's desk "How are you my fave cousin? Rumours say you are happy today, well ok, there's no rumours, more like I just saw you smiling, did you find the new AD's assistant?", Jennie didn't said anything and tried to get the note inside her agenda, but Jisoo took it before she could hide it "OMG Jendukie! do you have a secret admirer?", Jennie rolled her eyes and punched Jisoo on her arm, she rapidly took the note back "Why are you so nosey? I don't have any admirer, and yes we have a new assistant for Mr. James", Jisoo rubbed her arm and got up from Jennie's desk.

They talked about the agenda for today, and the new projects, then Jisoo couldn't help but ask about the new Assistant, Jennie told her she was already working with Mr. James, and she would see her in the meeting later on, Jisoo got out from Jennie's office smiling, her cousin seemed in a good mood today.

The meetings were so long, specially the ones about new projects, Mr. James would present the new campaign for the new collection, it's supposed to be ready, but Jennie was sure this guy was gonna make her lose her time, so she took her sweet time to arrive to the meeting's room, she ate one macaron and saved the rest, she didn't want Jisoo to ate them all.

Her cousin saw her on her way to the meeting and she approached to her "Are you ready for the meeting and listen to Mr. James new campaign ideas?", "Chu, you know this guy is too much right?, He tends to procrastinate a lot, and without his assistant he probably didn't do anything, good thing he is talented, if it wasn't for that he wouldn't be here anymore, he should be grateful mum is not here today", and they kept talking till they arrived to the room, everything seemed ready, and Mr. James was already waiting with Lisa by his side, they were discussing something, she couldn't listen well, but they seemed really focused.

Jennie had the coffee that Lisa brought for her, she didn't think about it till she saw her own hand, she thought about leave it outside or something but it was late, Lisa saw it already, she was looking at her and smiling widely, Jennie avoided her eyes and sat down with Jisoo.

They waited for the other directors to arrive, then Jennie got up, greeted everybody and talked about some campaigns and their impact on their reputation and sales, then she introduced to Mr. James and her new Assistant Miss Manoban, Lisa smiled to everyone and thanked them for this opportunity, Jisoo was amazed, the new girl seemed really happy, so bubbly, the kind of person that make others feel happy, Mr. James comented about the new campaign, then asked Lisa to explain the rest, Jennie was impressed, it was her first day, let alone she has been here only for 2 hours, and she already knew the basics about the whole project, she even introduced new ideas, Jennie couldn't help but smile, Jisoo saw her cousin's face, and immediately told her to stop smiling at the new girl, that comment made her face change completely, she was just ashamed, and probably blushing, Jisoo can be too much sometimes, but for some reason the meeting seemed too short, everybody agreed and the campaign was approved.

Jisoo approached to the new girl "Hi, Miss Manoban, I'm Jisoo Kim, I see you already dominate this project, causing good impressions in your first day huh?, I'm glad you got the job", Lisa smiled and thanked her "Miss Kim, I'm glad to be part of this team, Mr. James is really good at his job, and I'm eager to learn everything from him and my workmates", Jisoo glanced at Jennie, she was staring at them, "Please call me Jisoo, and nice to meet you Miss Manoban", Lisa smiled and said the same, "Nice to meet you too Jisoo, and then no more Miss Manoban, you can call me Lisa" Lisa bowed down, they smiled to each other and then Jennie left abruptly, Lisa didn't noticed it but her cousin did. She excused herself and got out of there to follow Jennie.

"Hey Jen wait for me, let's get some coffee", Jennie kept walking, "I already got coffee, thanks". Jisoo kept smiling and got inside Jennie's office "Can you believe Lisa already knows everything about the project?, I'm surprised, it's her first day", she looked at Jennie but it seems she is busy with her phone scrolling something, so she kept talking "I'm glad you hired her, seems she will be a revolution over here".

Jennie rolled her eyes and kept being busy with her phone, but she couldn't stop herself from talking "So you both are friends now? You call her Lisa, or did you know her already?, Jisoo smirked and said "Well she is really nice, I introduced myself and well she told me to call her Lisa, that's her name anyways, you know Jennie, it's not bad to get new friends and meet new people", Jennie didn't said anything but Jisoo knew something was bothering her cousin, so she didn't want to say anything more and decided to go back to her office, she needed to talk to the the Director from the finances area anyway.

Jennie couldn't stop thinking about Lisa, she was definitely a happy girl, "That Manoban is really interesting and smarter than I thought after all", she said to herself and smiled.
