15. Nobody said it would last forever (darling)

Kai got inside Jennie's office and Jennie received him with a tight hug, "Hi Jen, how are you? Did I interrupt something?" he said on a serious tone, "No, not at all, we were just discussing things about our new project, so why are you here?, Do you miss me that much huh?, I thought you would come back later to take me home" Jennie said happily, and they went together to sit down.

Kai still seemed a little bit serious "I can't make it Jen, my dad asked me to go to a dinner with him, so I decided to let you know in person, so... why that assistant has to come here when you guys have a meeting room?, she doesn't need to be here to talk about anything", Jennie rolled her eyes "Kai, it's my office and no offense but I can choose any place from this building to talk to my employees and friends, seriously, don't start this, I thought we were gonna have a nice talk, I don't understand, this wasn't a big deal before".

He got up and walked around "Where are all the flowers I got you?, You decided to dump them already?", "Kai look at my desk, there are some flowers in that vase, I sent the other ones to home, I didn't bring my car remember?, Why would I get rid of them?, They are beautiful, but there's no way I can take them home by myself", she got closer and caressed his face, Jennie felt a little bit guilty, but there wasn't a way she could take all that to home.

"What's that?" Kai pointed to the little green alien, "Oh it's a little Alien from Toy story, isn't it cute?" Jennie answered with a gummy smile on her face, Kai tried to control himself but ended up raising his voice "It wasn't here yesterday, who gave it to you?", "Kai it's a gift from a friend, I don't see anything wrong and I just thought it would look cute here", Kai took the toy and threw it away, "No it doesn't look cute, you aren't a kid anymore, you don't need toys" he said clenching his jaw.

Tears started to form in Jennie's eyes, she picked up the little alien from the floor  "You don't have to be rude with me, I thought you wanted to see me and have a nice talk, but I see you will never change that bad attitude, leave if that's all you want to do today here, and please I don't want you to come back at me later  saying you love me with tons of roses and that you are sorry, words aren't enough you know".

He got serious but didn't say anything, so Jennie kept talking "Last weekend was terrible and now this, I thought you did love me, but if you really did you wouldn't act like this towards me, I am a busy person yet I always make time for you, even if it's a few minutes, you have changed, you aren't sweet anymore, you say I never call you, but it's because you hardly answer my calls, when was the last time we spent time together and had fun, without all this drama?, It's too much for me, I really thought we could make it work, I really wanted to make it work".

Kai looked at her "Maybe you are the one that has changed, you are different now, I came here and you are all smiles, where's that cold attitude you used to have towards people around here?, Who is making you smile all day?, That stupid assistant?, A model? Huh?, If you ask me to leave again I won't come back Jennie, I told you I'm not willing to deal with you and I don't have patience", he threw away the vase with the flowers, making a big mess on one of the walls and the floor, Jennie was too stunned with his words and actions, and tried to put some distance "So you don't want me happy, you won't do anything for us, you aren't willing to fight for me, to fix this?, You just want me to give up and get rid of me, you used to be the reason behind my smile Kai, did you know that?, But now all I see it's a cold, selfish, angry person".

Jennie hugged the alien and her tears wouldn't stop flowing "Please leave, I won't make an scene here, I'm a CEO for God sakes, I have a reputation and you can't decide for me, you can't decide what I put on my desk or what I should be like, you can't decide who are my friends, let me decide by myself".

Kai looked at Jennie, he was starting to regret what he just said to her "Jen I'm sorry, I do love you", he tried to hug her but she stepped back, and he lost his temper again "What?! Do you prefer to hug someone else now huh?, That's why you are rejecting me, You want me to go away because there's someone else right?, that's why you act like this right?, Such a bitch", he started to raise his voice again, Jennie went towards the door avoiding the glass all over the floor to open it but he took her arm firmly "Answer me!, you don't love me anymore because someone else has your attention?" his grip started to get more intense, "Let me go Kai, you are hurting me, and no there's nobody else, but maybe I don't feel the same way about you anymore, let me go! Damn it!", He was really angry and he didn't let her go, he keep tightening his grip "Please Kai, you are really hurting me, let me go" this time she was sobbing uncontrollably with so much pain.
