Once a wise man, no not MSD but some random old dude said, "The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone." That's what Rohirat were feeling. Sometimes in life all you need to do is face your fears and confront situations heads on. Vi couldn't help but think, he is Virat Kohli who was known as the most aggressive player, the person who was known for his confrontation skills both on and off field, to both enemies and allies. Yet he failed to confront his own best friend. God how much he regrets his actions only if he had waited a bit longer or if he would've barged in like he always did and demand for an explanation. Ro was also no less even he had the same feeling as Vi, only if that day he entered the room and confronted him they wouldn't have to face such problems.

They both couldn't understand how they both always end up in such situations, both were irritated with each other and themselves. Only if they just sat down and had a civilised conversation, only if they analysed the situations before jumping onto conclusions instead of being impulsive. They both were sitting in silence thinking about the conversation they had a few minutes ago.

Flashback:

The team reached Chennai for the England series, Vi was the last person to reach there. As soon as he walked in many congratulatory hugs were thrown his way along with demands to see baby Vamika. He spoke to them and showed them the baby pictures while his team were gushing over the little munchkin. Vi looked around trying to find someone but much to his dismay that person was sleeping in his room. he made his way to his own room and settled in when there was a knock on his door, thinking it was one of the kiddos he opened the door only to find the person he was looking for.

Ro had landed in Chennai early morning; he was tired after a long flight and decided to take a power nap which lasted longer than he anticipated. Sighing he went downstairs and found the young lads playing games, he knew his buddies must be in their rooms talking to their families, so he inquired to the youngsters about their whereabouts and got the expected answer. He also asked them about their captains' arrival to which they informed him "bhaiya ko aye 3 gante ho gaye, apne kamre mein hoge."

Nodding he went back to his room and picked the gift he got for Vamika and made his way to the captain's room.

Nervously he knocked on the door and waited for him to open. Every passing second, he felt his nervousness building up, soon the door opened and there stood a very surprised and confused Vi.

Ro: "I hope I didn't interrupt you. Can I come in?"

Vi: "no no come in." still in surprised daze he moved aside making way for Ro.

Ro: "this is a small gift from me, Ritz and Sammy for Anushka and the baby." Handing over the gift while sitting on the couch.

Vi: "thanks" sitting opposite him

Ro: "how are they both doing?"

Vi: "they are doing great." He was a bit hurt that Ro didn't ask about him.

Ro: "it's a beautiful feeling Virat absorb it as much as you can now. You don't realise how quickly they grow up I still remember holding Sammy for the first time that feeling..."

Vi: "is indescribable isn't it "interrupting him "it felt so surreal. I wanted to be there with them, spend more time with them." Looking distant.
Ro: "I know you just don't want to leave their side, not wanting to miss anything related to them. You want to be with them for their first everything." Remembering Sammy's first time she tried standing, walking, talking and all her other firsts.

Vi: "absolutely. Thanks for handling the team with Jinks while I was gone, you guys did well."
Ro nodded. Both sat in an awkward silence. Ro had enough of this awkwardness between them and spoke up knowing Vi won't open up till he forces him.
