I've been talking to this guy Carson at school. He keeps insisting I join the team, shit at the sport or not.
He also told me there's batting cages down by their rival high school and I could go there to practice as long as I didn't talk to anyone, since most of the kids that hang out there are "Dumount's," and we don't like them. (Yes, apparently our school has a movie-style rivalry with the prestigious private school on the other side of town, can that get anymore ridiculous?)
I rolled my eyes and agreed, I found it cute how insistant he was about it. I liked the idea anyway, I'm starting to think you can't live around here without some sort of skill in baseball, and honestly, I'm getting a little sick of being Ken.
