Happily Ever After

Announcement

Louis was so excited to share his news that has forgotten that everyone in the family didn't know about his sexuality. As soon as they all sat down to eat lunch he linked his glass.
"I have an announcement to make. Harry and I are getting married!"

While his mother and sisters cheered joyfully his father choked on his beer and started to cough. Louis stared at him with scared eyes.
"Dad?"

"You took me by surprise there son. Just give me a minute." The King answered while he wiped the beer from his beard with a napkin. Louis took Harry's hand for support while he waited for his father's judgment. The King looked between them.
"Do you love this man like I love your mother?"

Louis gulped.
"I know I will one day. Harry means everything to me." He answered bravely. He could feel Harry tense beside him.

"In that case, I believe congratulations are in order." The King smiled and raised his glass.

Louis teared up.
"Thank you, dad!" He beamed.

"Yes, thank you, your majesty." Harry said.

"Your support means so much, I love you all. I'm going home with Harry tomorrow to be by his side when he breaks the news." Louis informed them.

"We'll go with you, all of us. You're not alone in this." Queen Johannah answered.

"What am I missing?" The King asked.

"Harry's dad wasn't as supportive as you, hem, he asked me to leave." Louis answered and Harry looked embarrassed.

"He treated my son with disgrace? He and I are going to have a talk. It's settled. We'll leave tomorrow." The King stated.

"I can fight my own battles." Harry said quietly.

"You're family now sweetie. Let us help you sort this out. I'm sure your father is a great man and the whole thing is a misunderstanding." Queen Johannah said soothingly.

Harry shared a look with Louis.
"Sure."

After lunch they went to find Liam and Niall, both excited to share the news and both feeling bad for neglecting their friend. They found them together in the middle of a chess game.
"Niall, this is Harry, my husband to be." Louis said to see Niall's reaction.

Niall dropped his tower on the chessboard and the pieces flew everywhere.
"I fucking knew it! Well, not about you two but, ehm you know." He finished with a sheepish smile.

Louis rolled his eyes at him.
"Seriously?"

"Sorry, I'm happy for you. Come here, give me a hug." Niall grinned and squished Louis before he threw his arms around Harry and hugged him as well.

Liam was more laid back since he already knew why Prince Harry went to visit. He smiled at them.
"Congratulations."

"Thanks, Liam. We're going home tomorrow." Harry informed him.

"I'm going with him, the whole family actually. You too Niall. I need your support." Louis said.

"You'll always have it, no matter what. So can I start planning your wedding outfit now?" Niall asked excitedly.

"Sure. Knock yourself out." Louis chuckled.

They hung out until it was time for dinner and Harry and Louis spent the evening alone, sharing a couple of heated kisses, before they went to bed in separate rooms.
