    I woke up to the sun shining through the blinds, I smiled as I noticed Demetri was still tangled up in me.
I rubbed my eyes and gently ran my fingers through Demetri's hair. It was so soft and overgrown. I smiled and kissed his head.

"Mmm," I heard Demetri start to mumble and I loosened my grip.

"Are you awake?" I whispered.

"Mhm," he mumbled leaning into me.

"Do you wanna get up?" I let go of him.

"No, let's just lay here," he nodded, "m so cold cuddle me."
I giggled and covered us up more. He rolled over and I held him close so his head was resting on my chest.

"Your hair is so soft," I smiled as I ran a hand through it.

"Yeah it's from all those sponge baths," he giggled.

"Oh my god Demetri," I shook my head and giggled.

"You should cut your hair," I smiled and shakily touched his faded red hair.

"Maybe, but you first." I smiled and held him.

"So is this just friend stuff?" Demetri sighed looking up from where he was cuddled in.

"Oh yeah of course," I felt my heart drop and I frowned.

"M'kay," Demetri nodded and rested his head on my shoulder.

We sat in Demetri's bed watching some movie he put on. There wasn't much other we could do, he was so sore he could barely walk.
He leaned his head on my shoulder and I held his hand.

"Hey, guys!" Miguel walked in. Both of us jumped and I dropped his hand quickly.

"Hey," Demetri smiled weakness lacing his voice. Miguel sat on the end of his bed.

"Your mom let me in I hope that's okay?" He sighed.

"Yeah of course," Demetri smiled.

"What's under the tinfoil?" I motioned to the plate he was holding.

"Abuela made cookies for Demetri," he handed the cookies to me.

"They smell good," Demetri smiled looking at me. He smiled and the butterflies started to start.
