Eli

     We had finally made it, our Junior prom. I smiled as I carried my dress top and jeans into Demetri's room.
"Hey hun," he smiled and walked over from his mirror hugging me tightly. I leaned my head into his chest and I smiled as I could smell his familiar smell.

"M so excited," I giggled pulling away and sitting on his bed.

"Me too," Demetri smiled as he concentrated on brushing his hair. I got up and stood behind him, he was so tall. I gently ran my finger down the scar on his back. I felt hun shiver against my touch and I wrapped my arms around my boyfriend.

"Aw aren't you just so cuddly today?" He giggled. I whined pulling away and took my shirt off to change into the white button-down and black skinny jeans.

"What color shoes are you wearing?" I asked him as I  put the shirt ok and buttoned it.

"Probably my navy blue converse. Sam texted the group chat saying she has a blue dress and Miguel's got a blue tie." He nodded and set his brush down.

"Okay cool," I nodded and tucked my shirt into my jeans and put my belt on.
I sat on the edge of his bed as he walked over to his closet and pull out the matching white button-down and slid it on over him. I chewed on my bottom lip thinking how lucky I was to get to call Demetri mine.
I felt my cheeks get rosy, Demetri fumbled with the buttons still pretty week in the hand. I got up and grabbed the button side.

"I can get it Dem," I looked down buttoning up his shirt.

"What would I ever do without you," he chuckled and ruffled my hair. I whined and re parted it down the middle.

"Can we come in?" Miguel called from Demetri's doorway.

"Yeah," I smiled looking over as Miguel and Sam came in.

"Aw, you two look so cute!" Miguel gushed as Demetri stood next to me.

"Well you guys do too," Demetri motioned to them.

   We walked into the hotel conference room as music blared and there were tables and Christmas lights strung up everywhere.
We took a quick picture at the door. I squeezed Demetri's hand as we got a table and set our stuff down.

"Yeah Eli?" He looked down at me. I shrugged and just smiled glad to be here with my soulmate.

"I'm so glad that we could make this happen," I said as we walked to the dance floor. I put my arms around his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around my waist. We swayed back and forth to the music. I couldn't believe we'd both made it.
Through all the bullying and fighting and breakdowns. I was dancing at prom with my boyfriend. I looked around and Just thought nothing could ruin this. Just me and Demetri against the world. Forever.
