Chapter 6

At the hospital:

Laurie: Listen Nick, I promise I won't let anything happen to you, and I know you would do the same for me. I love you so much and I want to be with you for a long time.

He doesn't respond as he keeps looking blankly at the ceiling. This concerns Laurie as she waves her hand in front of him, but he doesn't blink.

Laurie: I need someone in here!

Nurse Jill comes into the room and takes a close look at him. She tells Janet to go and get Dr. Mixter from his office. She runs quickly to his office and knocks.

Janet: Dr. Mixter? (Goes into the room) Dr. Mixter!

She hears no response from the doctor, and sees the shower in his bathroom running with the door wide open.

Janet: Dr. Mixter!

She walks into the bathroom and doesn't see Mixter in there.

Janet: (Knocks on his office door) Dr. Mixter?

No response. She opens the door and sees him sitting in his chair.

Janet: Dr. Mixter, it's an emergency.

Once again, no response. She walks over to him.

Janet: Dr. Mixter, it's Nick Brackett. He's had a reaction to the medication. You better come quick! (No response from Mixter) Dr. Mixter?

She turns his chair around and finds Mixter dead with a needle sticking out of his eye. Janet backs up and begins screaming, at which point, Michael Myers attacks her from behind and injects her with another needle to her temple, killing her.

Back with the others:

When Janet fails to returns, Laurie starts to get impatient.

Laurie: This is taking too long, isn't there anyone else who can help him?

Jimmy: I'll go find Mrs. Alves.

He runs off to find her and he stops at the ladies' lounge to see if she was in there. He only sees a locker open but no Mrs. Alves in sight.

Meanwhile:

As Jill leaves when he hears a buzzer from another room, Nick blinks and gets up.

Laurie: Nick.

Nick: C'mon, we got to go. (Gets off the bed)

Laurie: What are you talking about?

Nick: Laurie, it's too quiet. Either they have a short staff or Myers has killed most of them. I had to fake my reaction so they wouldn't stop us from leaving.

He puts both his pillows under the blanket to look like him and Laurie were laying under there.

Nick: Let's go.

Laurie nods and puts his arm around her so she could help carry him and they leave the room quickly.

A couple minutes later:

Michael walks up to the top Nick and Laurie were in. He opens the door and assumes his victims are asleep together under the blanket on the bed. He raises the scalpel in his hand and stabs a few times. He sees no blood and takes off the blanket to see they're not there.

With Nick and Laurie:

Nick limps down the hallway but Laurie helps him keep his balance as they find someone to help them or a way out of the hospital.

Meanwhile:

Jill leaves the room and walks back to Nick and Laurie's room, only to find they're not there.
