Chapter 2

As the woman screams, Michael walks to the next door house that has its lights on with dogs barking in the distance. As a teenage girl walks out of the house from the back door, Michael hides in the shadows.

Teen: Mrs. Elrod? Mr. Elrod? (No answer) Are you okay?

She turns around before looking back for a second as she walks back into the house. Michael walks toward her before hearing her walk toward a window next him and he watches as she picks up the phone.

Teen: Hi. There was someone screaming next door. Yeah, Mr. and Mrs. Elrod. His wife's always picking on him. He probably got angry and decide to start beating on her. (Michael walks to the side) Oh, big deal.

Girl: (Other line) Are your folks home?

Teen: They are gone. My dad had to take my aunt Ruby to Harden county and my mother decided to go along.

Girl: (Other line) Didn't you hear?

Teen: Hear about what?

Girl: (Other line) Some girl got killed in Haddonfield. It's on the radio.

Teen: Hold on.

She walks over to the radio and turns it on.

Radio: The police had cordoned off the entire area. To repeat; 3 teenagers have been found murdered in a house of the northwest section of Haddonfield. The names of the teenagers have not been released.

Teen: (Picks up phone) I can't believe it.

Girl: (Other line) I know. You know, we probably knew her.

Teen: Where'd it happen?

What she doesn't know is that Michael is opening the door behind her and walks into the house.

Girl: (Other line) Down on Orange Grove.

Teen: That's right down the street.

Girl: (Other line) I know.

The teen looks outside to hear police sirens in the distance.

Teen: Sally, I can hear the sirens coming.

Sally: They said the guy got away

Teen: Do they know who it was?

Sally: No.

Teen: Oh, God!

She jumps as she hears something behind her.

Sally: Alice? Alice? What's wrong? Alice?

Alice: Who is it?

Sally: Alice, where are you?

Alice looks to see that the door is open and she starts getting nervous.

Alice: Who is it?

Radio: ...believes the suspect will be apprehended within a matter of hours. Neighbors say they heard screams the early evening, but attributed the noise to the usual Halloween-

Alice looks around and walks into the living room before Michael jumps up to stab and kill her.

Meanwhile:

At the Wallace residence, there were neighbors watching as the police arrive on the scene with an ambulance in front of the house. Two officers get out of the car to see other officers interviewing neighbors and searching the area while some were inside the house.

Officer: Inside, guys.

The 2 officers walk to the house and stop as a couple paramedics put Nick on a stretcher with Laurie following behind them with a blanket wrapped around her.
