Meanwhile:
Dr. Loomis, Nurse Chambers, and the Marshall drive away from Haddonfield.
Loomis: You didn't believe me. Nobody did.
Chambers: I'm sorry.
Loomis: Don't feel sorry for me. Feel sorry for that little town back there. It'll be years before they forge this.
Chambers: Dr. Loomis, I think there's something else you should know.
Loomis: Did you see that blackboard back there in the elementary school?
Chambers: Yeah.
Loomis: In order to appease the gods, the Druid priests held fire rituals. Prisoners of war, criminals, the insane, animals... were burned alive in baskets. By observing the way they died, the druids believed they could see omens of the future. 2000 years later, we've come no further. Samhain isn't the evil spirit. It isn't goblins or ghosts or witches. It's the unconscious mind. We're all afraid of the dark inside ourselves.
Chambers: Dr. Loomis, please listen to me. There's a file on Michael Myers that nobody knew about.
Loomis: I've see everything.
Chambers: No, no. It was hidden, sealed by the court after his parents were killed. After the governor hear what happened tonight, he authorized Dr. Rogers to open it.
Loomis: What file?
Chambers: (Shakes her head) It isn't fair. They should've allowed you to examine everything. That girl, that Strode girl, that's Michael Myers' sister. She was born 2 years before he was committed. 2 years after, his parents died and she was adopted by the Strodes. They requested that the records be sealed in order to protect the family.
Loomis: Geez! Don't you see what he's doing here in Haddonfield? He killed 1 sister 15 years ago, now he's trying to kill the other alongside the Sheriff's son! Tonight, after I shot him, where did they take them?
Chambers: The clinic.
Loomis: The clinic? (To the Marshall) Do you know this area well?
Marshall: A little bit.
Loomis: Where is the hospital located?
Chambers: Dr. Loomis, we're under orders from the governor.
Marshall: It's back on Route 17 about 3 miles
Loomis: Turn this car around!
Marshall: I can't do that, I've got orders.
Loomis: Those orders have changed! (Takes out his gun and aims it at the Marshall)
Chambers: Dr. Loomis!
Marshall: Doctor, you're getting yourself into a lot of trouble.
Loomis: What do you fellows usually do? Fire a warning shot, right?
He shoots the window on the passenger side. The Marshall obeys Loomis and turns the car around.
Back at the hospital:
Nick and Laurie remain in the car as they wait for someone to come and help them. They hear footsteps approach the car and they get ready to leave the car and run as they think it might be Michael. Turns out it's Jimmy. He gets in the car and tries to start the vehicle, but the engine won't turn on.
Nick: Jimmy!
He stops trying to start the car and looks at the couple.
Jimmy: It's alright. We're, uh— we're gonna get outta here. (Goes back to trying to start the engine) I— I think, uh—
