Crownfeather said goodbye to his friend and stalked across the river. Or at least, tried to. He made it across one stepping stone before slipping into the waters of the river. Gasping for air, he waved his arms around frantically. This was one of the worst falls yet.

Water splashed all over his face. He tried looking for Playleap, but he was nowhere to be seen. Moments later, Crownfeather was under the water, waves crashing into him like the winds of leaf-bare.

He panicked and swallowed lots of water, was this his last day in the forest? He felt himself slowly lose control and he was becoming weak. Too weak to move in the long torrent that seemed forever.

The waves crashed more into him, sinking him down further. At this point, he knew StarClan had come for him. He closed his eyes sadly and took one last hopeless breath, before passing out in the depths below the river.

His eyes opened slowly, where was he now? Focus made its way to him and an orange blob appered. Was he in StarClan? Was that one of the cats that his grandmother told him about? The flame-colored tom walked over to him. Crownfeather sighed in relief as he realized he was still alive. But that orange cat was none other than- "Mr.Cheese?" Crownfeather rasped, shocked.

"Yep, me and Gentlepaw found you in the river." Mr.Cheese smiled as Crownfeather coughed up water. "And I would like to know why you were with someone from RiverClan." Gentlepaw growled.

"What?! Were you two mouse-brains spying on me?!" Crownfeather spat, his ears flattening. "No, we were EZ-dropping." Mr.Cheese meowed. "Dude same thing," Crownfeather growled, "And what's a kittypet doing out here, shoo, scram, go back to your puny twolegs."

"Hey, don't you dare talk to my friend like that!" Gentlepaw snarled. "Oh no, never in a million years," Crownfeather growled, getting up on his legs and springing at Mr.Cheese. Crownfeather pinned the orange tom down and hissed, "Now I want you to leave ThunderClan territory, and by the count of ten, I want you running back screaming to your mommy!" Crownfeather spat.

Crownfeather's claws dug deep into the toms chest. Gentlepaw tried springing on him. "Why do you have to be so violent!" Gentlepaw hissed. Mr.Cheese whimpered and ran off before Crownfeather could start counting.

"That's right beat it!" Crownfeather yelled. Gentlepaw clawed him in the face. "Thanks a lot, jerk." He hissed as he walked away, whispering "Fox-heart and mouse-brain."

Crownfeather did it again. Why was he not able to use his mind right? Ever since he fell in the river, he has been twice the mouse-bile. Then he realized, was he part of Captainheart and Stoneclaw's strange behavor? That night, Crownfeather snuck out to ShadowClan to know what was going on.
