how to survive 7th grade

chapter twenty

Four months later

Today we had a basketball game and we were going against our rivals today. The  eastern hawks! They're this prep school with those fancy uniforms, biggger school, they have three gyms! But we apparently hate their guts, so we have to win tonight.

Spencer and i were walking to class, when i got a text from Spencer. I look over at him, he was on his phone. I smiled and read the message.

Hey

Texted Spencer. I laughed to myself and decide to text him back.

You're too cute!

I texted then sent it to him. I looked over at him, and saw him chuckle as he looked at his cell phone screen.

You're cutter!

Texted Spencer

Lol! Are you coming to tonight's game?

I texted

Yeah, don't worry, i'll be there.

Texted Spencer.

He looks over at me and smiles. I smile back at him, i give him a slight smile. Then we put our phones away. Spencer walked me to my class then he went to his. He was too cute, the way he would take me to my classes.

*half an hour of boring class*

It was really boring in class today for some odd reason. The bell rang and we went to our last hour. Gym. Nikki, Jordynn, Alivia, Adrienne, and i, went to the locker room to change. I got dressed in my gym shirt, my black shorts, my pink nike shoes, and put my hair up in a ponytail. I looked in the mirror and saw how weird my hair looked today. I played with my hair a little bit, then looked back in the mirror," It's useless." I tried to whisper to myself, but it ended up being a little more louder then expected,"What is?" Asked Nikki,"My hair, it's gonna look messed up anyways!" I said the sat on the bench next to Nikki,"Really? You're gonna say that, when i have a big blonde afro?" Said Nikki making all of us laugh,"And the mexican who's hair spins in all different directions?" Said Alivia pointing at herself. We all laughed,"And you're dating the hottest guy in the 7th grade, he likes you for who you are!" Said Adrienne,"Yeah, your right." I said then we all laughed again. I swear i can't keep a straight face with these guys! I looked back at the mirror and tried to ignore how weird my hair looked, but i couldn't! It was soo statickly, and stuck out! I took my hair out and attempted to fix it. As i flow my hair back, in the air, Nikki comes from behind me and takes my hair band from me and runs away. I ran after her. I wanted to be mad, but i was just laughing. Nikki ran out into the hallway, i ran after her, yelling her name,"Nikki, please give that back!" I shouted. I caught up to her and took my hair band out of her hands,"Fine, you win this time!" Said Nikki, we both laugh, and went back to the locker room to wait for Mr. Jackson to call us to get out. I sat next to Adrienne on the bench and put up my hair.

Finally after a few minutes of waiting, Mr. Jackson finally calls us to come out. We all ran to the gym, sat and waited in our group lines. I looked around, trying to find Spencer, and i find him. He looked so amazing with his amazing thick blonde hair, and his dazzling blue eyes gleeming in the gym lights. I dazed off and realized, that i was smiling like a complete idiot! Spencer looks at me and smiles at me. I brush my fingers through my long brown ponytail and smile back at him, this time not like an idiot, but in a cute girlish way. We played basketball today, and it was really fun.

After gym, i walked outside to the parking lot and talked with Nikki for a little bit, then felt arms wrap around me. I turn around to see Spencer smiling at me,"Is your brother giving you a ride home?" Asked Spencer,"I don't think so." I said. Then i was interupted by my brother's car horn,"I guess today he is." I said unlocking Spencer arms that were wraped around me. Then i walk over to the passenger's side and sat down in the leathery seat, then we were on our way to the house.

as we arrive to the house, i instantly ran to my room and grabbed the last batch of pizza rolls in the bag. I put them on a plate and put them in the microwave for two minutes. I went upstairs and turned on the tv. The fosters were on so, i decided to catch up on a few episodes. I was at a good part in the episode and i didn't want to miss anything. I started to get up, but then i had the sudden urge to lay back down. So i threw myself back down back on top of my bed. I put my face in the pillow, and groaned in laziness. Then i remembered my brother,"Mike!" I shouted my face still in my pillow. I lifted my head back up and groaned,"Mike!" I shouted,"What?!" Shouted Mike annoyed,"Can you get my pizza rolls from the microwave?!" I shouted,"Get them yourself!" Shouted Mike walking through the hallway and into my room,"I'm too lazy, please?" I begged. Mike pondered for a moment,"I get six!" Said Mike,"three." I said,"Six or no deal." Said Mike,"no way." I said,"okay, then i guess i can just go downstairs and eat them myself." Said mike leaving my room,"Wait!" I said annoyed. Mike pops his head out in front of my door,"Yes?" He asked in a kid way,"Deal." I said annoyed,"Yes, i'll be back in a bit." Said Mike leaving. I put my head back in my pillow and groan in laziness again. Then i went back to the fosters. After a few more minutes into the episode, Mike came back into my room with the plate of pizza rolls. I look down at the plate and saw that he had already tooken his share of pizza rolls. I took the plate from him and he walked back into his room. I ate all the pizza rolls then realize that i have a game in one hour. So i just got up and walked around the house, to shake off my lazziness. I went to my front porch and looked around my neighborhood. the smell of the air, it was a little chilly because it was january. I went back inside, because it was getting a little too chilly for me. I went to my room and checked my phone to see what time it was. It was about 4:30 and the game started at 5 o'clock. I went to my walk in closet and took out my white uniform and black jordans. I was in the mood to wear a headband today, so i picked out a black head band. I got dressed and grabbed my gym bag. My mom and i were ready to go to the game, when i remembered it was chilly outside. So i ran back upstairs and grabbed my favorite brown leathered jacket and went back down stairs. We were now on our way to the game.

*Two quarters later*

It was now half time and we went to the locker room to talk. Our coach talked to us about the plays. We were a head by three points, but they were now playing hard defense and it was getting harder. So we had to boost up our confidence and get our heads in the game. We walked out of the locker room and the crowd started to cheer. I was amazed of how many people came today, but i was also pretty happy. I saw Spencer in the corner with all of our other friends, cheering on the team. I went to free shoot, then we went back to the game.

*the fourth quarter*

Nikki had managed to make twelve points for our team and we were a head by a lot of points. We had three minutes left in the game, and i had made three points and adrienne made nine. Adrienne brought the ball up and passed it to nikki, nikki got the ball and made it in. It was now the eastern hawk's ball. They brought the bal up and ran their play, they passed it to the tallest girl on their team and got a shot in. It were now one minute and twenty seconds left into the game. The crowd started to short the time down. We had the ball. 5...4...3...2. Adrienne shoots the ball and makes a three pointer. Everyone shouts in happiness. We all jumped in happiness. We shook hands with the other team and we went to our familes. My parents and i went home. We stopped by mc donalds and grabbed some cheese and sweet teas. We arrived at my house. I had some homework, but i was soo tired, that i just decided to do it in my study hall. I went up to my room and threw my bag into my walk in closet. I then picked out some grey sweats, a white t-shirt, and some comfortable socks. I threw myself onto my bed and fell fast a sleep.
