I wasn't really going to pack up the rest of my things, but I need something to distract my thoughts. So I decided to listen to music while packing. It didn't distract me.
I'm almost done with packing when I hear my phone ring. It's Emma.
"Hey."
"Why did you run off like that earlier?" Of course that's why she called.
"I needed to finish packing." I lie
"You aren't a very good liar, Lisa." Dang it.
"I'm not lying. I'm actually almost finished."
"I think it's a good time to take a break then. Open the door." What?
"Uhm okay?" I walk over to my front door and Emma is standing there when I open it. Why is she here?
"You don't seem that happy to see me. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. It's just... why are you here?"
"Well..." she begins to say as she steps in through the door "you left before we could catch up on things. You also didn't really get a chance to meet Andy." Just as those words slip from Emma's mouth, the bright blue-eyed man walks in. Don't stare.
"Oh uh... hi..." Real cool Lisa. Real cool.
"Hi." He says after laughing. Why is he laughing?
"Uhm... how are you? " I'm not sure what to say.
"Oh stop being so awkward. Good thing we bought this," Emma says as she pulls a bottle of rum out of her purse. I should've known, she doesn't carry purses around often.
